Imax question

Hi,

I was wondering which of the Imaxes had the lowest impact. I realize that they all are high impact, but relatively speaking, which one has the lowest amount of high impact moves?

Thanks,
Vanessa

For most of us here, IMAX 2 has the lowest impact. IMAX 3 and IMAX 1 are pretty even but I'd say IMAX 3 is the most intense.

As you say, the all have high impact: the 'blasts' are all high impact. But some are easier to modify than others (taking the high impact moves to lower impact). IMAX3 has the most impact, and is the hardest to modify, IMO. Interval Max (the original) and IMax 2 are similar in impact, but Interval Max might be a bit easier to modify, because you do just one move during each blast, so it would be easier to come up with a substitution (such as step-to-the-side/croos-lunge back instead of speed skaters).

Another option is Low Max (or LIC), which is an interval workout that uses low impact intensifiers instead of high impact moves.

Another plus for Imax Original is that it's the only one wherein Cathe herself shows the modified move before going into the full-intensity blast. So, like Kathryn said, it might be your best bet.

If you really don't want to have to modify, then IMAX2 is the best of the three.

I only have IMAX2 but it's so much fun. From what I read it has a higher fun factor than the original IMAX and is newer, if that matters to you. I'm a little leary to get Interval Max. I'm afraid it'll have a lot of power 15s, 7s, etc.

Imax 2 has the least impact, but it is still very, very challenging and does have high impact.

Imax 3 is the highest impact -- way too much for me.

Imax 1 has a lot of high impact too., but I find it manageable.
