Imax 2 - the first time

I just did Imax 2 for the first time this morning. I just recieved it this weekend so I am a little bit behind all of you Cathe veterans. Oh my goodness, this workout is so fun. I was grinning ear to ear during the pina colada song. What fun! Also, as someone who is NOT an advanced exerciser, I could follow along pretty well and only had to modify some of the moves. I only missed a few counts of the blasts because I had a take a break. I did have a problem getting Blast 2 where you do 4 pushups and then over the step. I was getting my feet tangled, but that is just something to work on. Yippee!! I am so excited to finally have done an Imax workout.

Congratulations! Aren't new w/o's fun? And it sounds like your first IMAX 2 performance was better than mine.
 
What a coincidence, Karin! I just received my IMAX 2 last week, and I had so much fun, I did it twice in one week. I have never really done step aerobics, but had Cathe's Muscle Endurance, Kick Max, and Bootcamp and loved her so much that I went ahead and invested in a step and after IMAX 2, I'm hooked. It is so fun, and a real workout at the same time! I am very uncoordinated, but I'm doing pretty well with some of these steps. Sometimes I'm just kind of hopping and spinning around, trying to look like I know what I'm doing! I do look like a fool doing those tap steps, though! I'm going to get the original IMAX and IMAX 3, too! I have sold all my FIRM and Taebo DVD's because they are nothing compared to Cathe!
 
I just got mine a couple weeks ago. I have IMAX3 and attempted it once with not very good results :eek: so I figured I'd try this one. I got through the first 2 blasts and was thinking 'wow, this isn't so hard'. A split second later Cathe mentioned that we might be thinking this wasn't so bad but just wait... She was right! I took an extra minute or so of recovery after some of the blasts, but was able to do 95% of it which thrilled me to no end. I loved the music so much I ordered the CD from dynamix- it came yesterday and I'm loading it into my ipod today so I can take it on runs/walks.

I'd love to do this w/o more but my knee has been a little tricky so I'm trying to be good and space it out but I could do this one every day!

Hi Liz! I ordered both Imax 2 and Imax 3 at the same time. I previewed Imax 3 first and my thoughts were that I wouldn't be able to do it. I was nervous to preview Imax 2 because I thought it would be the same way. The preview was much less scary than Imax 3 and the workout was hard, but I could at least get through it. That is great that you were able to get through most of it too! I really appreciated all the recovery time that she gives in this workout. Also that is really great that you attempted to do Imax 3, I am too scared right now. I really think that when I attempt Imax 3 I am going to have to insert my own recovery or I will never make it to the end.

If you really enjoy the IMAXs, you should get the original IMAX (on the Rhythmic Step DVD). It is a great workout and the choreography is a bit more simple.

As I'm sure many people on here already know, IMAX 2 is my ABSOLUTE FAVORITE Cathe workout. I smile the whole time (well maybe not the WHOLE time) I am doing it. It is so much fun and gives you a good workout at the same time. Hmmmm, maybe I should do it tomorrow.:7

I just did this one tonight. It gets me every time! I love the feeling of accomplishment when you are on blast 10, though, which seems so much easier than 9!!!
