Hi Everyone! I hope your New Year is off to a good start. I will admit that I put on four unwanted pounds so I am working hard to show them “Who’s Boss”! Last year at this time I went on a Mega Energy program designed by Nourishing Guru nutritionists Jane Schwartz and Stephanie Goodman. I'll join you Cathe. I put on an unwanted 5 lbs that's going to go away. It's scary how 4-5 lbs makes you feel so much different (and not in a good way).

BTW.... are you going to share you story of your issues with inflammation? I would love to hear what happened and how you overcame it.

I'm in!!!! Brenda, you are sooooo right about how just a few pounds can make you feel different. I put on a few this year after losing a few (stress related) and I feel crappy! My clothes are tight, I'm sluggish, zero energy after work etc. But the cookies and other goodies were soooo good!
 
Whaaaaaaaaaaaaat?? Cathe gained weight LOL!! Thank goodness you started this thread on yourself and not someone else! I would certainly be into anything that results in Mega energy - then i maybe i could blow through those back to back plyo hiit workouts with a little less gasping! Funny how just a few extra pounds affects our mood and workouts. I am also waiting for your inflammation story as I'm sure many of us share similar issues.

I did the Mega Energy program & LOVED it & love Jane & Stephanie. Their recipes are so delish I'm anxious for the new updated 25 recipes that will be included in their previous listing. I found out that all the Greek yogurt & cottage cheese is definitely NOT kind to my body. Once I eliminated all sugar, dairy (except eggs I gotta have my eggs), bread & pasta from my diet I became leaner & had much more energy. Their recipes are packed with so many veggies its only natural that you would have more energy.

I can't thank you enough for the link you provided to these 2 wonderful amazing nutritionists. Go Cathe!

I also did the Mega Energy program in November. Jane & Stephanie are awesome and having a nutritionist available 24/7 to answer your questions was extremely valuable. I was amazed that even though I was consuming larger amounts of fats (coconut oil, ghee,coconut milk, seeds, avocados, etc), I lost 8 pounds in 3 weeks! Aside from the weight loss, I also had much more energy, reduced hot flashes, less achiness from arthritis & inflammation, lost the bloat and finally stopped craving sugar & processed foods! The recipes were great and many have become a mainstay in my diet. The private FB page for our group was fun and allowed us to share our experiences & support one another.

I can't thank Cathe enough to bringing The Gurus to my attention!!
 
Does their program allow for coffee?
Heehee -- yes, it does. I didn't do the program, though. I just laugh because I'm always curious about whether various detox -- or health -- programs allow you to keep drinking coffee. And when they do allow it, I wonder if it's sort of a concession, since they know that half their potential audience will see 'no coffee' and say, 'oh, heck no!'
I'm definitely not saying this with any judgment. I consider myself a very healthy eater, but I've got my cuppa cuppa next to me right now! ;)

I hope the recipes are fairly simple. I'm not much of a chef and anything beyond 5 ingredients stresses me! Good grief no wonder my 15 year old son thinks he has to take care of me! LOL!

I'll join you too! I've done an anti inflammatory cleanse twice before and they are hard, but worth it. They have been a great way to "reset" my eating when it has gotten off track. Of course, I would LOVE to lose 5, or so, pounds, but the true benefit is in the energy I feel and getting back on track food wise. Cathe, thanks for, once again, leading us to be our fittest, strongest selves.

I can attest to this! I've lost 10 pounds since October. Three of those pounds I lost in December (and I ate cookies!) and one so far this month. I'm not even trying to lose but it's almost effortlessly gradually falling off. And I do have to have cream in my coffee -- I haven't eliminated dairy, but have limited it.

I haven't done a program, but the key for me was eliminating wheat and other flours. THIS sounds like a very good program!

Deb: I emailed Jane & Stephanie your question & yes you would need to pay the $47 in order to get the 25 new recipes. I'm on the fence about paying since I know how to revamp recipes.

Thanks for contacting them as I was wondering the same thing. I would like to get some new recipes but doing another round now isn't going to work because I'm going on vacation for two weeks. But, I am going to listen to the online call and see what they have to say.

Is the new program $47 for everyone or is that the price if you already did the previous cleanse? I know the one in Nov. was more money. For $47 I'll give it a try.
