My plane leaves tomorrow...so...Chicago residents - where should I go for dinner? I can expense it!

What time is Lost on there? I'm thinking you're in a different timezone, so it starts at 7:00? That will totally stink because my plane doesn't get in until 7:15 and O'Hare is just a monster!

Hi Donna, Is this for an interview? If so best wishes. I don't live in chicago so I can't help ya with the tv show. :)

Terri

Donna -

Yes, Lost starts at 7pm here - if I were you, I'd just hit a bar at O'Hare and make them change the channel (except if the Cubs are playing, in which case you'll be risking a beating). It's the 2-hour action-packed finale!!!!

I can't really help you on the restaurant, since I live in the suburbs but I've heard good things about Harry Carey's!! It kinda depends where exactly you'll be....

Angie

Chicago is on Central Time, so tv shows are on an hour earlier than they are everywhere else. If Lost is normally on at 8pm, in Chicago it is on at 7pm.

As for restaurants... are you staying in the city? If so, you should make it to Ed Debevic's, at least for lunch, so you can experience the fun of waiters who insult you - it's actually part of the atmosphere! They also dance on the counter to YMCA.

Want good pizza? You gotta go to Gino's East. Chicago Deep Dish pizza at its finest.

If you want something fancy... I can't really help you there. I think there's a restaurant at the top of the Hancock Building that's supposed to be pretty fancy-schmancy ($$$). And you'd have an incredible view! :)

My SO went to Chicago recently and talked about the Weber Grill. Don't know exactly where it is, but I'm sure you can find it online.

Kathy

Weber Grill Restaurant is on State Street in Chicago. There's also one north in Wheeling. Ed Debevic's and Gino's are excellent suggestions!

Angie

Nope - this is actually for computer training for my current job. You can give me "best wishes" to not fall asleep in class. :)

I'm staying at the Hawthorne Suites in Schaumburg.

Guess I'll just have to wait until Saturday to watch Lost. Poop.

Schaumburg - if you like Italian, you must eat at Maggiano's. Or if you like Asian, Big Bowl is awesome. Both are in Streets of Woodfield by the mall.

Angie

Well, since you already know about Lost. My husband used to work downtown. Are you looking for casual or fancy or somewhere in between? I'll ask him when he gets home.

Ed Debevic's is fun. My sister was in from Florida and tried to order a salad and the waitress wouldn't let her! Gino's does have good pizza, but what about Lou Malanoti's (sp?)? Their pizza was pretty good, too.

My daughter went to Chicago on a school choral trip a couple weeks ago. They did all the touristy things, as well as performing at the Navy Pier. They ate at the House of Blues, Connie's Deep Dish Pizza and Joe's BeepBop (spelling?) Cafe. She loved the city and didn't want to come home. Enjoy your trip!

Ooops, I forgot to ask my dh. When do you leave again? I know that there is a pretty helpful web site dineme.com. Hope you enjoy your trip.

Hmmmmmmmm Catch 35, 35 Wacker Dr, yummy! Mostly seafood with an Asian flare. If works paying go, it's expensive but very GOOD! Of course you could always go to the World famous (made so by Belushi) The Billygoat, cheese boogy, cheese boogy, pepsi, pepsi, chip! :D Have FUN!

Donna, go to Gino's east for some deep dish pizza - it is the best and most delicious! It is a pizza EXPERIENCE! It is what Michaelangelo is to art!

I hope I can find someone in my class to go with me. Of course, I really hate small talk - so hopefully I can find a few people to go. Then I don't have to think of anything to talk about.

If you see a short woman with semi-long brown hair, sitting at a table all alone...reading a book...that's me.

Oh, oh oh!! You've GOT to go to Geja's Cafe! It is my favorite place to eat!! It's all fondue and it's EXCELLENT!!!! It's even where DH proposed to me!!

I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE that place!!! The food is incredible and the atmosphere is AWESOME!!

Here's the website with address and menu! HAVE FUN!!!
