I'm expecting my 4th baby :)

Yup, number 4 is on its way :) I'm a little worried about my weight though. Do you all know what the minimum amount of calories I can eat during my first trimester is without hurting the developing baby?? I am nervous and excited all at the same time. It won't seem real until after my first dr. visit in 3 weeks. My DH and I did 5 tests LOL!! (3 different brands).

I grew up with only one brother who I am estranged from (his choice not mine) and I always wanted a big family of my own.

Please keep your thoughts with me for a healthy healthy pregnancy and more importantly a healthy baby!!

Don't worry about food, just eat as cleanly as possible (fruit, veggies, salads, lean meat and fish, etc), along with your folic acid supplements, and you'll be fine. Have you had bouts of morning sickness yet ? Or do you think you might escape it this time ? In my last pregnancy, I lived on toast because I was so nauseous for the first three months :(

Congratulations! We just had our 3rd five days ago. I love big families, my sister had 4, and they are a ton of fun! That is great news.

Holy cow, Anna, you even read the fit moms site???? I haven't looked into this site for....let see my baby (#5) just turned one April 3rd, so it's been over a year since I looked at this site. I guess being pregnant wasn't my favorite thing and once I was done I hopped right over to the other Cathe forums and left this in the dust. So why am I back here????????

Marci, many congratulations. We obviously love large families too, they are LOTS of fun!!! When are you due? I saw some of your posts on the open forum and glad your back!!! Hope you have a wonderful pregnancy. How are your workouts going? Any morning sickness??

Marci, what fantastic news!!! Congratulations to you and your DH and the soon-to-be-older-siblings!

Enjoy every minute and please try not to worry about your weight. Just concentrate on eating clean and healthy, doing as much of your exercise program as you feel good about, and savoring the power of this miraculous thing your lil' ol body is doing AGAIN!!!

Keep us posted on every little kick, ya hear?

Congratulations! Within 3-4 months you should know if you're having that girl you want! Of course, you will be happy with a healthy pregnancy and healthy baby either way. Anyway, good luck!

Emily, great memory on the girl thing! My husband and I already have a girl name, guess what it is? Emily! My DH wants another girl also. We stopped 3 days before I ovulated, according the the shettles method, this increases your odds of having a girl to 80% instead of the usual 50%. We will see! Looking back on the timing of conception of my other 3, it holds true for them. OH, and as a sidenote (not that I believe in it) but the chinese gender chart showed girl for this one. I have 2 sons and a daughter so I'm really hoping my daughter gets a sister since my sons each have a brother already. But if its a boy and she has 3 brothers, no guy will ever mess with her, she will have her 3 brothers to watch out for her LOL! I would welcome a boy too :) Just want healthy.

I'm having an amnio this pregnancy and have never had one before, but hey I'm getting older :) so more genetic tests are recommneded. I'm scared of the amnio, but at least I'll know the gender with complete accuracy!

My other kids are 6, 3, and 9 months. I am SO excited my 9 month old baby and this baby will be real playmates. I always wanted kids close together. So it will be 4 kids in 6 years and 11 months.

I always get nervous until those first 12 weeks are done. I am not planning on telling anyone in my "real" world until 12 weeks but I was just bursting at the seams to share :)

As for weight, you all are right. My husband tells me not to stress. just eat healthy, avoid junk, and try to get in 3-4 workouts a week when I can and the rest will take care of itself. I am going to listen to him and to you all!

Hi Marci!

Congratulations! We have 4 wonderful children also. I read Dr. Shuttle's book after my second daughter was born and realized (because I was taking temperatures, etc) that he was right about when both of them were conceived. My son (child #3) was also they "way he should be" (ie a BOY) based on his conception time (again, I was charting). My fourth child (another boy) is just a wonderful surprise because I wasn't taking my temp or anything. But, you know, I think you will get your sweet little girl based on this method. His method worked for 3 of our kids (and perhaps four but I wasn't recording the fourth).

So glad to hear you're pregnant as I know you've been thinking about another sweet baby to add to your family. Good for you!

Thats cool about your kids being right on track with the book. We tried 4 days from ovulation for 2 months but that must have been too far away, so we moved it up to 3 days. We were going to try that for a few months as well since we wanted to be really conservative. But the 3 days was really accurate because I was doing temparture AND using an ovulation kit so I'm 100% positive of my timing. I admit I have my heart set on a girl and so does DH. But on the other hand we awere hoping our 3rd child would be a girl and he was a boy, and I would not trade him for ANYTHING and can't imagine my life without my wonderful little Michael so whatever we get will be a blessing.


I'll be sure to post once I get my amnio results!

I have not figured out how we will tell people (waiting till 12 weeks) they will be SHOCKED!!) Most people thought we were nuts for having a 3rd LOL!

Marci........Briee....where have I been!!!! Congratulations!

I cannot believe what I have been reading....you are both pregnant!

Marci, I know you wanted another baby so much right after your last one was born...remember that post? I have been gone from the forums for a while because I was buying/selling a house and now, after 3 months,I am finally (I still have my furniture in the garage and we moved in on April 18th....) settling in.

Briee!!!! Number SIX on the way????? Wohhoooooo! girl, you have more guts than I do! ;oD I mean it in the best way! Congratulations to both of you.

Finally, I am starting to exercise on Monday....after being away for 3 months because of the moving chaos! I am going to be in painnnnnnnnnnnn!
