I'm dying to eat like a preschooler today

I had cereal this morning (Kashi Crunch so not too bad). Now I am craving a peanut butter & jelly sandwich washed down with hot cocoa (I do have the "no sugar added" kind). I'm not even hungry but the meal sounds yummy! How about if I put it on rye bread...one piece folded in half? And I always use skim milk!

I go through those phases too where I crave chicken fingers, french fries...... I know what you mean. I made a peanut butter sandwich last night, left it on the counter and my dog jumper up and ate it. I was secretly grateful to him! :)

How funny!!

My favorite "preschool snack" is graham crackers dipped in Apple Juice.. weird, but pretty darn tasty!!!

Take care, Lynn M.

I have cravings all the time and decided I would rather exercise a little more than give up some of the things i like. I have been on a peanut butter kick for a few months now and cannot go to bed without dipping a spoon in it. i do eat the low-fat version.
I also love chocolate in moderation of course. i aslo have a snack night on the weekends with pretzels and the new Lays fat free chips. I love to exercise, but also feel life is too short to deny things, as long as they are in moderation.
Bt that is just me :>):7

Forget the pre-schooler! Im in "baby" land.

Stewed apples and apricots eaten straight out of the baby jars.

When the kids were young, it was one spoon for baby, two spoons for Mummy

OMG Marion, I thought I was the only one who did this!!!
The gerber baby food jars of fruits and desserts such as Blueberry Cobbler and Custard etc are my secret weapons to help curb my appetite for sweets. They're tasty, and since they come in such small portion sizes they don't have many calories and they do the trick.:9

How funny Cathy! The things us lot have in common is so funny.

Yum, how could I forget the blueberry cobbler and custard. Ill eat ANY of those meals, EXCEPT the vegtable ones. YUCK!

And your right. For anyone who needs to take the edge of their appetite, how perfect are these little meals...............and cheap!

Gerber's Hawaiian Delight Dessert was the best:9 !! I use to love the Gerber Graduate Banana cookies too. This thread is too funny!!

Aila:)

don't forget the apple slices and carrot coins!

The Gerber arrowhead or arrowroot (something like that) cookies! Oh, yum and I second the Hawaian Delight dessert. There was a pudding one that was yummy as well!

I eat PB&J every day for lunch! I have one slice of homemade bread (I have to confess, a couple times a week it's white bread. But I get my whole grains elsewhere). Sometimes it's all-natural peanut butter and other times it's actually soynut butter. I like the soynut butter better. It seems a little sweeter. Check out the calories of peanut butter. A half a PB&J sandwich as your lunch is about 300 calories. You get lots of protein, fiber (depending on your bread) and it's quite enjoyable. I follow it with a salad and I'm full.

I wouldn't tsk-tsk you for having a hot chocolate. Especially if you're using skim milk. The calcium is great for you. I actually made hot chocolate with fat-free soy milk and ovaltine the last time I made it and it was pretty good!

Now that my baby is 3, I forgot all about the baby food. Some of them are yummy.

I have a question about peanut butter though. Where do you find lowfat peanut butter? What brand? Is it the Scudder brand? Also, tell me about soybutter...is it good? How much does it cost?

I LOVE peanut butter but try to stay away from it.

Shirley,
Hi :)
I am so addicted to the low-fat peanut butter now. I actually have to try (maybe) to cut back a little? NAH!
I am going through a jar a week..
Jiffy makes a low-fat version and so does Skippy. The crunchy is the best. Enjoy:>)

Peanut butter sandwiches are my FAVORITE lunch!!!! I have a salad with it so I can feel better about getting in some veggies.
