I'm askeered...

I just got Boot Camp and really, really want to give it a try tonight! I have the Terminator DVD, so I am familiar with some of the moves...but...boy oh boy, this is gonna take some psychin' myself up...should I be afraid that they are gonna have to pick my limp body out of the pool of sweat? HEEEEEEELLLLLLLPPPPPPPP!

Thanks guys! Just needed a push :7

Hey! We've missed you. Wanna know a secret? *whispers* It's not that bad...;)

If you're used to doing the Terminator workouts, you'll be FINE!:)

You'll be fine ;) Shell is right - if you've done the Terminator already it's really not too overwhelming. It's such a great w/o as add-ons, too!

Live with sincerity, love with passion, and dance like you mean it.

Debbie

I am anxiously awaiting the UPS truck because my bootcamp is on it! It is supposed to be here today. The guy is going to think I'm nuts waiting by the door:+ Now you have me really nervous though:) I've done the fittv version many times but that was with commercial breaks! I'm in for it tonight:eek:

The first time it's not that bad, because you've got yourself so worked up about it. Wait till the second or third time....I think this workout mysteriously gets harder. I felt the same way about those blasts in KickMax. I dread them everytime, and they don't ever seem to get easier.

Thanks guys!!!!! Now I am more psyched than "askeered"! Actually looking forward to it. Ironically enough, the Gauntlet is my favorite workout...all except those flippin terminator climbers! Even though it's my fav...seems that's all I remember when I get done with the it...so I guess I was thinking Boot Camp was 60 minutes of terminator climbers :+ :p! Silly me!

Anyway, I've missed y'all too!!!! Lots and lots and tons going on. Work has been crazy since the law change, so lunch hour...forget about it. Getting out of here at a decent hour...forget about it. Trying to stay sane and get my workouts in...that about kills me.

Looking forward to things calming down and posting in the <--- thread again.

BTW: 3kids...I know what you mean. The UPS guy didn't quite know what to do when I ran down the hall and tackled him for my DVD :+

THANKS again and I will chat with you guys sooner than later!

I agree with everyone else. The name sounds very intimidating, but it's so fun and fast paced that it's over before you know it. A great workout! Good luck and let us know how it went!

Amy I just saw your picture trail. Wow. You look gorgeous! I have about 12lbs to lose to be in my healthy weight range. It seems so far off but when you all post these before and after pictures, it truly is a huge encouragement and the 12lbs doesn't seem as hard:7
BTW, the UPS guy showed up with my 3 DVD intensity series just a few minutes ago:) And yeah he thought I was nuts doing the happy dance with my kids and dog in the foyer:+

Hey there, Beautiful. Haven't "seen" you in a while. But I haven't been here that much lately myself. I had Bootcamp for almost two years before finally using it as is. I started out just using the premixes as add-ons to other workouts. I'm not much of a circuit person. Still, it surprised me when I finally did the whole thing and didn't die from it. The cardio part is getting to be too high-impact for me now that I'm older, so I modify. My HR is still up there, and it's still challenging. The terminator climbers are only a minute long, and after you do the first four, you've chiseled away a big chunk of that minute. You can do it!

Pinky :)

Thanks again guys...for the compliments and the encouragement...I AM PSYCHED. I am leaving work in 45 minutes, racing home, changing clothes, poppin in the DVD and cannot wait to give it a go!

Pinky, it's so good to see you!!! I have missed posting with you. I am so glad to know that you are still around!

Tracy...you are so right...what was I thinking...hopefully Cathe won't read this post ***fingers crossed*** don't want to give her any ideas

3kids...thanks so much for the compliment...just keep going you will get those last 12 off in no time...have fun with the intensity series!

Barbara...that's what I needed to hear. I feel the same way about the Gauntlet...it's over before I know it and I always end up feeling soooooo accomplished.

Anne...are you kidding...TWICE...well...we'll see :p

ALL OF YOU GUYS ARE THE ABSOLUTE BEST!!!!!!!!!!

It's one tough workout, but it's definitely doable. I prefer to do the 'all but core" premix followed by the "core only" premix, because I don't like getting up and down off the floor so much (low blood pressure, so I can sometimes feel a bit dizzy doing that). That does make each of the elements (plyo, weights, abs) a bit more intense, because they are closer to each other, but I really likeit.

One thing about BC: each segment is pretty short, and you do each exercise only once, so it takes away a bit of the dread factor (and tricks you into thinking it's not as tough as it is, IMO!).

YOU CAN DO IT! (just listen to your body, and modify when necessary).

Happy to report that I did it, survived it, and absolutely loved it. The hour simply flew by. Got an awesome sweat going and felt soooooo good and sooooo accomplished when I was done. Don't know what I was so afraid of...really looking forward to doing it again and again and again.

Thanks ladies...once again, y'all are the best! :7 :7 :7 :7 :7 :7
