Hi everyone. I'm checking in very late today. I have been sick all day--basically what Michele described but without the "goopy eyeballs."
Being that I feel so crappy (AGAIN), I finally agreed with Deb and took a rest day today. I may do the same tomorrow, or I might go to my yoga class (which is at least not too taxing) if Ewan is well enough to go to nursery school.
I also took a nap today while Ewan was napping, though only for an hour or so--had to set my alarm to go get Isaac from the bus stop. I'm so tired with the cold meds and stuff.
Deb, the concert was cute but way overcrowded--like a serious fire code violation kind of crowd. I was also in the very back corner. Ugh. I was seated by a door (which people kept opening and it was soooo cold) so I slipped out when the Kindergarteners were done singing and then slipped through another door to find him and take him home.
Leanne, I did manage the 4DS KB & Legs yesterday and I really enjoyed it. For some reason only my abs are sore today, so I probably didn't lift heavy enough. I didn't want to go too heavy, though, since it's been a while since I've done lower body work. Oh, as for Amy Bento, I found her ASCII easier to follow than the original ASC.
Robin, I hope your knee feels better soon. Mine were a bit irritated with me last night but they seem to have forgiven me today.
TK, I was still a kid in the 80's but I did have some legwarmers (but not that I made myself). I remember being a huge fan of Mary Lou Retton when she was in the '84 Olympics, and my parents bought me a little gymnastics outfit complete with legwarmers. Unfortunately, I was 10, not at all limber, and a bit late to start gymnastics at that point. Still, I had fun pretending to be like Mary Lou. Funny thing, when I had my first baby, we were going to the same giant church as Mary Lou in Houston. When we went to have our baby dedicated at church, she was having hers dedicated the same day, so I got to chat with her briefly. I didn't tell her that I had idolized her as a child but tried to act like I would with any other fellow mother.
B, glad you have a vacation coming up--sounds like you need the break!
Tneah, I have plenty of days that aren't filled with activity (at least not planned activity) but my 2 little boys kind of keep me on my toes anyway. I wish I could have a day with more rest! But like you said, I would probably feel weird if I weren't busy enough. I was guilty enough taking that one-hour nap today.
Judy, I hope we both get over our colds soon. We've got to stop passing this stuff around the boards.
Shelley, are you going to share pictures of this haircut? I really need my own cut. Maybe I'll go all single white female and take your picture to my stylist. Just kidding. I think. }(
I'm feeling a bit wicked today. I think I'll go shave my legs.
