If You really Want to Do the "Right" Thing...

I have never gotten the whole Russell is hot thing. Hmmmm. Give me a scrawny rocker type guy. Which is crazy because my husband is so not the scrawny rocker type. He cringes when I talk about how hot Dave Navarro or Scott Weiland is. LOL. Oh what was the subject of this thread? :p

I think it's

more his voice than anything.

I believe (correct me if I am wrong) that RC was supposed to have the lead role in the upcoming "Austraila" with Nic Kidman but somehow it did not work out and Hugh Jackmen got it.

The accent is what always gets me, especially English, Scottish or Australian. Loooove it. How I ended up with a guy from Chicago, I'll never know. :p

Well, the thing I REALLY like about him is that I think he's one of the greatest actors around. He's like our modern-day Richard Burton. Five minutes into his films and I completely forget he's Russell Crowe. He totally becomes the character he's portraying.

Okay, and he was hot in Gladiator, too, so, there's always that!:p

Beautiful Mind is an excellent example of this.

Yea, back in the day I used to spend a lot of time at TheCrowesPerch.com (I think that's what it was called) but the women there were nuts and I just got tired of their hero-worship. That was during the heavily-debated Meg Ryan debacle, before he finally married his on-and-off girlfriend and threw a telephone at a bellhop. When people who have money treat people in positions of service with disrespect It really frosts my flakes. Low-wage employees aren't in a position to defend themselves in such situations because, if they do, they're out of a job. It's unfair advantage and I wasn't impressed with Crowe, the man, after that. Still, phenomenal range. I doubt another living actor can touch him.

Crowe

is getting ready to start filming "Nottingham". He is supposed to be playing Robin Hood but lately I have heard that he may play duel roles and take on the role of the Sheriff also. I believe the movie is a look of Robin Hood from a different angle.

And yes - he can be an ass. I think he is a bit of an eccentric. Still - no reason to throw a phone.

Russell Crowe once lived in my town for a summer, but unfortunately just before I arrived here. :( Now we just have Rosie O, Stephen Baldwin, and Al Pacino nearby.

ETA: Oh, and Toni Morrison--she's pretty kicka$$.
