If you could go anywhere in the world for 1 week?

I'd go to Hawaii and lay on the beach because its always been my dream vacation, getting the tropical feel without leaving the USA! Of course I don't tan so I guess I'd be under some palm trees but I'd still be happy!

Sandy

I would pick Hawaii too...it is the one place in the world that I really, really want to visit before I die...

Tammy

I've already gone to Hawaii (Kauai to be exact)......sorry for everyone else who hasn't yet but you'll love it when you do go......
so I pick Sydney, Australia.

Except I'd need two weeks to really enjoy because of the time differences and how long it takes to fly there....

At the risk of sounding sappy or like a hopeless romantic - anywhere where I can be in my husbands arms! I often tell him when he's holding me that 'this is the best place in the world.' This year we celebrate 19 years! OK, assuming he's with me, my next choice would have to be France/Italy or Greece - something in me wants to touch those old stone buildings.

Trish

Trish, Not sappy at all, I feel the same about my wife. If I it was a gift, and I got to go anywhere, she would need to be there to, I don’t like leaving my best friend behind.

Jamaica would be our pick. We’ve been there before, and loved it. The people are friendly, the scenery is unbelievable, and some goooood memories.

Back to the summer of 1969 and my grandmothers apricot tree or her porch. It was magic.

Back to the first hours of both my chidrens births. There is nothing like the awe one feels when they meet their children for the first time.

Back to the last kiss I gave my father the month before he died. There was so much I needed to say to him.

Good question Jess~deb:)

I would go back to the summer of 1977, when I would spend the entire summer with my mom in Old Town in Chicago. We lived above the Earl of Old Town and across from Second City. My mom waitressed at the Earl, and the folk music was the best in the country. Second City had Cows on Ice with the best cast, since the 50's. It was the best summer I ever had.

...and if I couldnt do that, then I would go to:

a fitness camp hosted by Mia Finnagan or Monica BRant

My lovely apartment! The place where I never get to spend enough time. Right after the maid has cleaned. I know I'm boring, but that's the way I feel. My gym is around the corner, and I'd love to get to go everyday. I would do my Cathe workouts right smack in the middle of the afternoon. Everytime I get some time off, my DH wants to "go somewhere". But my dream is to spend a week at home. Ah, wouldn't it be lov-er-ly...

I'd love to go to New Zeland but I'd need more than 1 week to make it worth it. I'd make Hawaii a second choice. We went there for 2 weeks for our honeymoon and it was heaven and it smelled so good...Freesia, Gardenia....Hmmm, I may be changing my choice :D

Scotland -- not because of men in kilts, though. We've been to probably 10 countries and Hawaii. The fondest memories I have are of Scotland. Hawaii is nice but a little too touristy for my taste.

Second would be Italy. We are going to Florence, Venice and the Cinque Terre area in July for our fifth anniversary. I'm starting to get really excited.

Excellent choices!!!

Nancy: everytime dh and i go on vacation i can't wait to go home, so i hear ya on that one! Your own bed is always the best:)

Donna: you're killin me with the kilts girl! i almost lost my coffee:p

I would love to go to Hawaii, but if i had to choose one place it would be Italy. My second pick would be Spain. I have always wanted to go to both of those places, but i f i went to spain, i could meet Mariangles!!:D

I'm a bit of a reclusive hermit, so I think I'd just like to stay home for a week, so long as my SO was with me. We don't see each other very much, so to have him for a whole week to myself would be heavenly!

I've been to most places I want to go, but if I had to choose somewhere that's not home, then I would go to Cayo Coco in Cuba for a week.
