Hello,

I am a native spanish speaker, so I ask your patience with my grammer and spelling. I have been providing child care for a little boy (Trey) since he was 3 months old, Trey is now 3. Recently Trey's mom got a good apportunity in San Jose for an 18 month assigment and will be moving. Trey's last day with me is on Friday July 8th. Both his parents and Trey have been a joy to work/care for and I would like to give Trey something to remember me and my family. We love him dearly and he will be missed so much!! The good news I was able to fill his spot rather quickly, plus Trey's mom plan is to become pregnant with second child and have me watch him once she's completed her assignment in San Jose and return back to Phoenix. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!!

Lourdess,

I am amazed you posted this now. I run a family daycare out of my home for 15 yrs now. This week the be the end of daycare for a lovely young girl whom I have had since she was 5 months old, she is now 11 . I can't even begin to tell you how hard it is to say good-bye. Over the yrs I have had numerous families whom I have provided care for 4, 5, 6, 7 yrs who have moved on. I always put together a photo album of the pictures I have taken over the yrs for them. It is a lovely way to see how they have grown with me & a great reminder for them.
I hope this has helped some & I certainly understand your situation of saying goodbye. Good luck

Hugs to you both, Lourdes & Tami!! That would be sooo difficult to say good-bye!

ITA with the photo-album idea. Or maybe one of those photo frames that has like 10 openings for photos. That way they can look back whenever they want!

Good luck and break out the kleenex!

First off, your English is amazing! Great job!

Not sure why, but this book "LOVE YOU FOREVER" popped into my mind when I thought of a gift. It's not personally about YOU specifically but all-in-all, a GREAT book and it's very cheap on Amazon...here's a link if you'd like to check it out.

I know you'll miss Trey but glad he and his sibling will be coming back! HUGS!
