I wish I didn't have to ask for this prayer...

My dear brother whom I love so very much has cancer. It started in his lungs and went to his brain. He had radiation on the brain tumors then started chemo after that was finished. He had a PET scan last week then went in today for his final chemo treatment. He didn't have the chemo because the PET scan found a third tumor in his brain. Next week he'll be having a procedure with a gamma knife to "cut" the brain tumors out.

I am a firm believer in prayer. Will you please remember him next time you say a prayer?

Thanks.

i will elaine. i am sending you big hugs too, just b/c everybody needs a hug at times like these

Consider it done Elaine. I'm a firm believer in the power of prayer myself. Your brother is lucky to have you for a sister;)

Elaine you and your brother are in my prayers and my thoughts. I will pray for him as he goes through this procedure. Hang in there Elaine. My christian MIL has this saying and it is:

God will put no more on you than you can handle.

Elaine! I'm so sorry to hear this. You and your family are in my prayers.

I lost my younger brother 2 years ago. I'll be praying!

((((HUGS))))

Oh Elaine, I am so sorry to hear you are going through this. I can empathize with you as I have had a rough year myself. My mom had a stroke an neurosurgury, and then I lost my uncle to cancer in July.

The path you are on is not a fun one, but asking for prayer is HUGE! I will certainly be praying for you, your brother, your family and all the doctors. I am also a leader in a youth group that prays and we will add you to our list tonight.

Big Hugs!!

My SIL had gamma knife surgery in March and had very good results. She has breast cancer that has spread throughout her body and was found in her brain in February.

I'm not a religious person, but you and your family will be in my thoughts. I know what you're going through because of my SIL and it's very, very scary.

It has been said that it is only the strongest among us who endure such pain and adversity. You and your brother are truly strong to be going through this right now. It may not feel like it, but it's true. Hold on to that strength and never give in to weakness...and you both will come through this one way or another. My thoughts are truly with you, and I will ask God right now to help guide you and give you the belief that you are both strong enough to face whatever cards are dealt to you. More than anything, I don't want your brother to suffer. I think it's sad that so many of us suffer needlessly. If it's his time to pass on, it would be so much more comforting for all involved if it could just happen painlessly and without suffering. I'm truly sorry you both have to endure the pain, along with the agony of wondering whether the pain will actually be worth it.

I'm not particularly religious, but I am spiritual, so I can say with all sincerity: May God comfort you now and throughout the weeks and months to come, and may a way be found to eradicate your brother's cancer permanently from his body. Let him be one of those miracles we all sometimes hear about.

Elaine--May the Father of mercies and the God of all comfort, comfort you and your family at this time.
