I will NEVER EVER wear leggings again!

JMHO, but this year's styles are really really hideous. I just cannot believe leggings are "in." They showed some outfits on the Morning Show today & they were so fugly! Am I gonna wear leggings under a black dress to WORK? I don't think so! I think I'd be laughed right out of the office........under a mini skirt? Uh uh, I'm too old for mini skirts. Under a long sweater? Uh uh, too '80s--what's next, the green mohawk coming back?

I might, however, wear a thong to a church picnic........;) (sorry, I just couldn't resist :+ )

Oh, I just had to add to my rant. No skinny pants either! It took me years to get used to the bootleg but now I love it.

If stirrup pants come back, I'm never leaving the house again. }(

I didn't see the show you refer to but don't expect that the over 35 crowd is going to embrace this (been there done that;-) ) but I must say that my 17 year old DD looks pretty freakin' cute in her camoflauge (sp?) leggings with lace trim, mini skirt and high top Converse runners. What pulls her outfit together is the 't-shirt' that says 'pale is the new tan':p I figure if I'm seeing a trend come back the second time then it ain't for me...but maybe just to yank my daughter's chain I'll get some just like her's, she'll be lovin' that! :+ }( :+

Take Care

LOL! I've been flipping through the September glossies and have noticed a lot of looks where I thought "Hang on, I wore that in HS/College!" Makes me laugh. I won't be wearing leggings either. Thick tights - I'm there baby, but leggings, no way!

Yes, leggings have been hanging on the periphery of fashion just waiting for their second chance. All the runway designs in the spring seemed to feature them. *gag* I also notice Clinton and Stacy, of all people, encouraging participants to buy skinny jeans!!!! WTH?? I'm sorry, but these do not suit most body types, not to mention they are bloody uncomfortable. Am I the only person who used to have to hop onto the bus by holding onto the rails because my jeans were SO TIGHT I could not bend at the knee?

*boo hiss*

Well, I've been seeing way too many tube tops around here this summer. And NOBODY I've seen should be wearing them.

LOL at your getting on the bus Marie!! You are so right those jeans don't look good on most body types. Why oh why when I find a fashion that I like it goes out of style. I love flared jeans. And please tell me they are not doing away with low rise!!

They were in when i was in high school...
Tells ya how old i am . Tooooo funny. Me neither. Especially not under jeans. I bought no Gauchos either. Or baby doll shirts. They look like maternity blouses.

Thong sounds good, but not on my butttttt.
Oh, no.....
Might scare away the deer.

Hmm, I don't know, I think the rise will be the next thing to go (up, in other words). I don't pay too much attention to fashion as a whole but I have noticed some pictorials recently that feature really high rises on skirts (like, above the waist!). It is obvious to me that the people who design clothing never have to actually sit in an office all day long wearing something that looks like you slept in it within 10 minutes!

my advice to everyone is this....if there is a current fashion that you like, i.e. low-rise pants and skirts, go out and buy as many as you can before they disappear from the shelves. i will never wear high waist pants, skirts or shorts again....i cannot stand anything touching my belly button.

and please tell me it is april fools day and you all saw an april fools joke on the morning show....leggings?????? NO WAY!!!

Along with the leggings and stuff I surprised they aren't bringing back the French cuff on the bottom of the jeans. I remember being late to class after gym class because I had to get my french cuffs just perfect. Oh and what about the really thick scrunchy socks that you would wear like two or three pairs on each foot to match what you were wearing and then wear matching scrunchies on your wrist. Oh my, the 80's are coming back. And I never even got to get into the styles now. I new I should have never have given away all my old clothes, now I could be in style!!! Yeah right. I don't understand all this. Soon I bet poodle skirts and stuff will be back in style!

Ooh! Ooh! Do the new fashions include stirrup pants and Izod shirts with the collars worn turned up??? Will we Fashion Slaves be teasing our hair to the high heavens again? I'll have to fire up my Trans Am and bust out my Loverboy cassettes and cruise the town. :7

oh jeez.....

Of all the cute styles in the past half-century, why oh why, would they bring back leggings????? Next thing you know, they'll be bringing back high-waisted jeans that taper to the ankle.

Leggings are truly the devil's revenge. I remember wearing a WHITE pair in my senior pictures with those oversize sweaters from Limited Express...remember those?? And how the BIG oversize Express tops you wore untucked under Forenza sweaters with a belt?? Egads and COLORED EARRINGS SHAPED LIKE LIGHTNING BOLTS OR MOONS.

I just got the new Victoria's Secret Fall catalogue and I usually LOVE their clothes (still love their lingerie) but I was gagging and the outfits ~ what's with the short bubble skirts?? Who looks good in them?? And they are showing long tight fitting sweaters bound to make ANYONE look 25lbs heavier.

And WHY oh WHY would they ever make high waisted jeans again?? What is next?? Pleated Jeans??? Gauchos??
I also saw leg warmers in VS catalogue. And socks with platform shoes.

This is too scary. Are headbands going to be en Vogue again soon with barrettes with ribbon? And sparkly plaid shirts? And prairie skirts?

I am not wearing leggings either! Tacky..tacky...tacky. JMHO.

I am not sure what I am wearing to the church picnic. I might dress like I am going to a mosh pit...wouldn't that be cool? LOL! Just kidding. Couldn't resist either.
