I want to eat healthy but cannot eat chicken!

I decided to start eating clean about 2 months ago. We buy 3 packs of chicken breasts or chicken thighs per week and then 2 packs of fish, and then veggies for the sides. I love eating the fish but my son and dh dont really like the fish and I have tried to up the fish to 3 times a week but they aren't going for it. I have never been a chicken fan unless it is fried and even then I just like the fried part :p Anyway, the past two weeks I have not been eating the chicken at all. I eat the sides but can't touch the chicken. I get that gag reflex thing going when I eat it now. And it is not like the chicken is being cooked wrong and my dh and son both say it tastes great. I made something this past weekend that I love that has chicken chunks mixed in it and I felt naseous (sp?) the whole time I was eating it :(
Does anyone else have that problem with chicken? How else can I eat clean if I can't eat chicken anymore?

Extra lean ground turkey
turkey breasts
lean pork chops
extra lean ground beef
lean cuts of steak
Cottage Cheese
Egg whites

Can you give me a example of how you eat cottage cheese? Thanks!
I forgot about pork chops.
We started buying hamburger meat to make patties (which I love!)
Steak is good, I can never figure out which ones are good to buy that are in the reasonable price range.
And how do you prepare your egg whites?

Thanks :)

If you love your fish, then I suggest you continue to eat fish (and the other lean proteins already suggested in this thread). Do you have a grill? If so, fire up the BBQ and grill both fish for you and chicken for your DH and son. Now all three of you are happy! :D

Why not consider having some vegetarian dishes for dinner? You can make whole wheat pasta and stir fry some veggies and maybe some beans or tofu to mix in with the sauce of your choice.

You definitely don't need chicken to eat healthy. Chicken contains about the same amount of cholesterol as beef, so it's not that much better.

As Nancy suggested, try some veggie dishes: tofu, tempeh, seitan, beans can all be good sources of protein, if that's what you're looking for in chicken. Hemp seeds, which also provide a good source of essential omega fatty acids, contain a highly assimilable form of protein, and taste somewhat like sunflower seeds. You can sprinkle them on salads or blend them into smoothies (blend the seeds with a bit of water, first, to make a 'cream," then add liquid and other ingredients.
