I know what you mean! I've done a lot of other video stars' workouts (my previous favorite was Kathy Smith, and I still recommend her workouts to novice exercisers), and none of them have the personality of Cathe! I can't believe I smile when I'm working so hard!
Anna, if I may butt in on your question about Circuit Max (and Cardio Kicks) - both are awesome! I like Circuit Max somewhat more than Cardio Kicks for several reasons - a bit less recovery and transition time during the unweighted cardio segments, a wonderful mix of hi/lo, kickbox and step, fun fun fun music and some hysterical asides on Cathe's part ("They're looking great {her studio crew}, I can hear it!"). I use Circuit Max strictly with a heavy (for me) barbell and squats and lunges during the weighted segments, but most others here do the workout as produced with compound lower / upper body weighted segments.
I think you'd enjoy both! Cardio Kicks is straight-up SAFE kickboxing, and the demands on the body, both upper and lower, are refreshingly different from step or hi/lo!
