I ran, I finished, I got the tshirt

but even a 5K was brutal in the heat and humidity. I was hydrated sufficiently and since we ran through neighborhoods, people had their sprinklers on and water available which I poured over myself instead of drinking. It's a good thing I didn't care about my time. I think I'll skip the local 4th of July 5K and wait until the Thanksgiving one. DH took pics so maybe i'll post them so you can see what I look like - before and after. LOL

Way to go Lois. This heat would definitely kill me. I ran in my first 5K last fall, middle of October, the Susan Komen run. I had on a sweat shirt and it was sooooo cold that morning. By the end of the race, I was peeling that sweat shirt off to my T-shirt underneath. I think I'll run cold weather runs in T-shirts from now on.
