I quit

14 minutes into my Cathe dvd this morning, I quit. And I feel reeeaaaalllly guilty.

I wake up about 5 am-ish during the week to work out, before getting ready for work and getting my son ready for school. This morning I was really dragging -- hit the snooze, feeling very sluggish.

I started the workout anyway, and was basically just dragging my lazy butt around the step. I knew I wasn't really doing any good, not to mention risking injury, so I stopped.

A coworker and I are going to walk for 30 minutes at lunch today, so that makes me feel slightly better. I am going to make myself do it when I get home from work tonight.

Bathing suit season is coming too fast to have mornings like this.

I need a pep talk!

Hey, definitely been there/done that! I've tried being an early morning exerciser, and I just can't do it for that reason. I feel like a sloth - just can't get myself moving!

Enjoy your walk today, and don't fret it. Try again tomorrow. I've learned not to let the guilt of not exercising govern my day. It's just not worth it!

Yeah, it happens. You gave it a try, but your body and soul weren't into it. You'll do better tomorrow.

I didn't work out Thursday because I didn't feel well. Friday, I felt better, but didn't feel like working out. Saturday, I was too busy. I had to force myself to workout yesterday (Sean and Cardio Coach) and was SO glad! One good day puts you back on track.

So, you had one rough morning. Cut yourself some slack! I think you were wise to listen to your body and mind. Sometimes your body just screams at you and requires unplanned rest! If you are still exhausted tomorrow, try something easier or do a little yoga. Take a couple of days then get back at it!

Don't worry about it. Everyone has an off day or one where they really just can't get into it. Don't push yourself tonight if you still don't feel up to it. You'll be back at it tomorrow.

I've done that before, too. I didn't workout Saturday or Sunday (but just came off a good week of workouts) and today I'm still dragging from having Easter at my home with 25 people! I'm thinking MAYBE a run on the treadmill later (maybe) and tomorrow I'll get back on track.

Sometimes it does feel good to do NOTHING, but I'm very aware of bathing suit season coming too quickly!

I think everyone has had one of those mornings, or even days. Sounds like you're a student/mom, I'm the same thing. Trust me, it's not easy doing both. Heck, it's not easy being mom/working woman either. It's tiring. So, cut yourself some slack, like the other girls have said. Pat yourself on the back for at least trying, and enjoy the rest of your day.

I work out in the morning. I have for 12 years now. I usually am working out within 10 minutes of waking up. I don't even know how I am feeling. I just jump right inot it. Every once in a while, about once a month, I just don't have it in me. Just like you, I realize that I am out of it and that I need more sleep, so I go back to bed.

We all have days like that. That is what makes us human. I had a day like that last Friday. I felt like I was going to throw up or something. I usually make myself stay at it a little longer, because sometimes it goes away. But this last Friday, I knew it wouldn't. I felt better throughout the day, then I did B & G's at night.

At least you tried to do it.

Cheryl

We have have good days and bad days. Don't dwell on it just look forward. An extra day off here and there isn't going to make or break you.

You can do it! you can, you can, you know you can!!
(former cheer to cheer you up and encourage you!!)

When I have a morning like that, I remind myself that oftentimes weightloss is 80% diet. So I use the day to eat extra, extra clean instead of dwelling on the workout that I skipped. Usually by the end of the day, I'll end up going back to my workout anyways and then at the end of the day what you have is......a great eating day, a great workout and a "bonus" mini workout (the partial workout in the morning!)
