I need help with Wine

Kathy, a desert wine is what I'm looking for, something sweet and serve cold. That is for me. :) I'm hosting and doing all the cooking, it's only right I should have one bottle I like. :p Then I'll buy another bottle for those who prefer something less sweet.

I'm more of a rum and coke, tequila, and black russians type girl. (only on occasion, I'm not a drunk lol) I drank a dry red wine once, gave me an istant headache. But I can handle sweet wine with no problem. Go fiqure.

Thanks for the links lrhollid and Robin. Very helpful.

Hi there!

I agree with everyone else that I would pick up some Riesling. However, there are some that aren't as sweet as someone mentioned already. Trader Joe's carries one that is really cheap and sweet. It comes in a blue bottle.

Also, a couple of weeks ago my friend had a dinner party and she had a wine called Mamertino. The label said semi-dry. It was still sweet, but not as sweet as Riesling. It was good though.

Good luck with your dinner!

You might want to consider a Port--that's a good dessert wine. They should be able to assist you at any wine shop.

Nancy,

I think I may try Saintsbury Pinot Noir this year......it sounds luscious. Thanks for the tip;-) .
