From all my Cathe friends!!!

My son just turned 5 and has had a cardiac arrythmia since infancy. We have been treated at CHOP and are now at AI du Pont. He takes cardiac meds and needs CPR with defibrillation on a pretty regular basis. He was not a candidate for a pacemaker. There is ONE specialist in the US who deals with this type of issue and he is in Toledo Ohio. We were referred to him but he can only take 2 new patients per year as he must follow all these kids as they get older.

He called on Friday and we are going to Toledo Ohio on MAY 11th

He said that after reading my son's file he could not believe how long we have lived with this. He was in awe of our ability to handle this for so long but was saddened that we had to. He decided that he would take my son on as a patient due to his young age. He wants him to have as normal a life as possible. He is seeing us MAY 11th 2009.

Can we all do the Happy Dance!!!!!! Come on, swing your arms and your hips and clap your hands and sing Woo-Hoo!!!!!! :D:D:D:D:D

Wow, I see why you're doing the happy dance! You've been through alot. I will say a prayer for you and your son for wonderful results.

Toledo is still a bit away, but if you need to break up a trip, you all are more than welcome. Gayle can tell you we have the room and any friends of Jake and Zach are freinds of my monsters. That's great news and the type that I like to hear especially these days when everything is all doom and gloom.

I hope the time just SPEEDS by for you until May 11th.

I am still Dancing!!! The boys are dancing!!!
The local paramedics are dancing!!!! The doctors are dancing!!!! The pharmacists who have to obtain caffeine citrate (very hard) are dancing!!!

All friends who have travelled with me or stayed with me are DANCING!!!!

The usual wait for this doc is a year or more. I am going in a month!!!!!
