I'm so excited right now, I'm shaking! I just got a job offer for my first Personal Training job. It's with Gold's Gym. I don't know if the manager I interviewed with was just bragging about his gym, but according to him that location has more daily traffic than any other gym in the US so there is a HUGE potential to make a lot of money.

Anyway, I have orientation tonight and then I'm supposed to call the manager back so I'm not sure exactly when my start date is. I'm a little worried about having too much on my plate with my full time job and being a single mother (well - separated - not officially single but it looks like I'm headed that way.) I'm just happy to finally have the opportunity to get some experience as a trainer!

Good for you Laura! Did you just get certified? You're so lucky to have an interesting job.

YAY Laura!

I am SO incredibly proud of you. When we last talked about this, you were apprehensive but now YOU'RE DOING IT! Way to go! I just cannot tell you how great I think you are -- especially with everything else going on in your life right now.

Most manager's WILL exaggerate the money potential. Typically the large chains will take a pretty big cut and even expect you to put in some "free" time to work the floor. Make sure you get all the details. BUT -- having the experience is the most important thing at this point! That way if you decide to go self-employed, you'll have the training part down and just have to pay most of your attention to the business side (which, I admit, I suck at).

Oh...I tried to email you last week but it bounced back to me. Something up with your address? Anyway...I have a really good ebook on personal training and I can try to send it to you. Email me at my tellabs address and I'll try to respond.

And welcome to the "almost-but-not-yet-officially-single side of the tracks"! We'll be JUST fine.

Good for you girl! You have accomplished SO much. You are truly an inspiration!

This is really great news!! I hope you really like what you're doing and are able to juggle everything. I look forward to hearing about how things are going, especially since I am now waiting for my test results.....

Well I'm glad I opened this one up. I thought you were using PT to denote you got your first part-time job. This is much more exciting than that.

Congratulations!
