i was browsing ebay and typed in cathe's name. there were alot of people selling cathe vhs, which is perfectly understandable to me, since i am 100% dvd. YOU all will never guess what i saw for sale!!!CTX DVD!!!!! i am nauseated!!!! oh the versitility of that precious dvd!!!! that person will regret their decision someday!!! i wouldn't lend that dvd out even to my best friend...maybe i ought to buy her that one!!}(

Wow! I won't ever sell my Cathe VHS tapes! What if my (future) DVD player broke? What if they BOTH broke? What if something happened to one of my DVD's? LOL! Yes, I've had a bit too much caffeine today ... LOL! But seriously, I've even kept all six of the original Firm VHS tapes in those while clamshell cases. I'm sure they're worth a lot on eBay - especially the ones you can't find anywhere now - but you never know when I will need a "light" day and decide to dust one off. I'm a pack rat though - LOL! But I can't imagine selling a Cathe DVD!!!! Maybe she has more than one and is selling the extra? Just a thought ...

Not only would I never sell any of my Cathe DVD's, I've seriously considered buying back-up copies of each of the ones I have so that my program wouldn't be interrupted if I broke one of them.

I remember one time StepEdith saying something priceless: "Cathe is right for anyone who's willing to work hard." My guess is the E-bayer selling her CTX DVD does not fall into that category . . . or "Cathegory".

Well, I'm willing to work hard, but I sold my CTX series. as well as my IMAX/Rythmic Step/?? DVD and other step cardio, because my knees were not willing to put up with the impact and speed of the cardio sections. Different strokes for different folks.

That's exactly what I am planning on doing 2004.

I'm with A-jock and Katerchen...I'm considering back-up copies...now if only Cathe would have a sale!!:7

Or maybe the seller just doesn't like it? I regret buying CTX. It's a fine set but the Intensity and Body Blast Series have overwhelmed it's usefulness. The fun factor is lower too.

After a long break they will seem like new again, so don't make any impulsive purges. That's my advice! As for backup copies, I think DVD copying for that purpose is perfectly legal. I plan to do that, as soon as I get the technology to do so.

If it helps you understand, I just don't do any cardio at home. All my Cathe workouts are strength training workouts. I've tried doing cardio at home several times, but it just doesn't take. I think it may be because my apartment is just too hot. I get so overheated, and it feels just awful, even with all the windows open!

I do my cardio at the gym, walking on the treadmill with my MP3 player loaded with my favorite dance songs. I wear a heart rate monitor and keep my heart rate in the upper levels of my target zone for 30-45 minutes. I enjoy it, though not nearly as much as I enjoy the strength training with Cathe!! Strength training with Cathe is one of my greatest passions in life because you can see the results from workout to workout. Nothing is more motivating than seeing results!! :D

Does this perhaps help you understand your sister or why someone would sell a Cathe workout on Ebay? (Not that I've ever done that. If I don't plan to do a workout, I just don't buy it. Some people sell at a profit, by the way).

Carol, that's so funny--I just did exactly this on Sunday! My DH and I were cleaning out the house a bit (you know you're a pack rat when you have to take a day of cleaning stuff out before you can get a Christmas tree in the house!)--anyhoo, I ended up cleaning out all my old exercise videos. I only do Cathe now, so I figured, why take up all that space? I did, however, hold on to all my Cathe VHS and all my "classic" Firms in their white plastic covers. They have such sentimental value for me; I just couldn't part with them!:D
