I hung out with Charlie Daniels last night!!!!! Pics!

DH is the lead singer of a local band and they were asked to open up for the Charlie Daniel's band last night.

They did such a great job!!! I'm so, so proud of him. People were stopping him to shake his hand all night long. So, Charlie heard they did a good job and we were told that he was waiting for us on his bus outside (before he went on). So we all went up on his bus..the band and wives etc. He was SO gracious and took his time talking to us, signing autographs and taking pictures.

We told him that we understood if he needed to get ready for his show, but he kept saying the crowd would wait for him and continued talking to us. What an awesome guy!!!!

Then he asked us if we were going to stick around and watch his show and we said, "OF COURSE!" He invited us to watch the whole show from backstage! It was awesome!!!! I'll never forget it!!

His show was just incredible. The place was packed wall to wall with so many people. He completely rocked the house!! What an incredibly talented musician he is. He's 68 and still makes a crowd go wild. I got CHILLS watching him play. He's SO great!!! Remember, "Devil Went Down to Georgia?" He saved that song for the end. It was such an amazing performance!!! :) As he was leaving he said goodbye to us. Then when the bus was driving away, he was standing up by the driver waving at us. I'll never forget it. :)

The only thing is that we brought our 35MM camera instead of the digital. It was set on Manual Focus instead of Auto Focus and the guy who took our pics was so nervous that he didn't focus the camera!! Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhh! I could have cried when I got the pics back this morning. But, at least I have the memories, the autographs and these blurry pics to remember it all. :p

Awesome Dani! Last weekend was your weekend in the limelight and this weekend was your DH's....Congratulations to him! What an awesome experience for you too!

That is so fun Dani! Hey, you should let me know ahead of time when/where your dh is playing. Maybe me and my dh can come and listen too sometime. That would be fun.

Wow Dani! That is incredible! Too bad about the pictures but at least you'll always remember how you felt at the time! How fun! :)

OMG Dani, that is SO cool! :) I love Charlie Daniels...love "Devil Went Down to Georgia"...man, I can't even believe he's 68 years old now! I can see why you're proud of your hubby and his band...I'm proud of them too! lol Love your pics...thanks for sharing them! :)

Wow Dani, that is so awesome! I love Charlie Daniels and I don't even care for country music that much. But he is just the acception. You are so lucky you met him, how cool is that? That is awesome! Thanks for sharing!
 
OMG Dani! That is so beyond COOL! I'm so sorry that your pictures were fuzzy, but at least you have your memories!

Scott and you (and the band/wives too) must have been so thrilled!

What a night to remember! Even without perfect pictures, you'll never forget it! Maybe DH will open up for him again some day. He sounds like a great guy - and so talented!
