I had my first U/S today! Hooray!

Hello everyone! We had our first appointment and ultrasound today! I'm so excited I'm still shaking a little... My doc estimated due date of 6/27 (we had guessed 6/26 -- not bad!) I am currently 8 weeks and 1 day. We have a perfect U/S picture... we can see the head, arms, legs... she (I know it will be a she) looks like a tiny little monkey clapping her hands!
My DH was so excited that he was up at 5:30 this morning... I was still asleep at 7:00 :* He makes jokes when he gets nervous, so he had the doc and the nurse laughing the whole time.
As far as the m/s goes, it's happening mainly at night... I used to love Diet Coke and could drink it by the case... but I've lost all taste for it. That's a good thing though. But it's amazing how my tastes have changed. My DH bought me a gift basket with some pretty lotions in it -- and one of them I can't bear to smell because it makes me sick. So he uses it instead!
I announced to everyone at work today too... So it's going to be hard to get anything done today. I am on cloud nine!

YIPPEEEE!!!! That is soooooo AWESOME!!! I am so excited for you and your hubby!!!!!!!!!! Aren't they just amazing, beautiful little people??? Even though they resemble monkeys? I wish I had my own U/S... I'd spend hours just watching my baby. I can dream.

I was wondering about your morning sickness... you will be past it before you know it. It is amazing how your taste changes... before I was pregnant with my daughter I loved Pepsi One... but once I became pregnant I couldn't stand the taste of it. I still can't drink the stuff. Unfortunately, I like plain diet pepsi.

Oh, those early ultra-sounds are soooo cool! I had early ones with my first two babies and they looked so neat. Too bad you couldn't get a picture - I have some of my oldest that are so cute!

Morning sickness is crazy. Not that this is a bad thing but for some reason I can't eat sweets. They make me really sick to my stomach. It also lasts from 10 in the morning until 5 at night - weird!
