I finally bought Rhythmic Step

I've been eyeing this DVD all week. Every day, I'll log in and think, "Should I buy it or not? I want it, but should I just wait or go for it?" Well, today, I went for it. I bought that DVD and the Ab Hits DVD. I'm really trying to get my abs pumped, and I think the Ab Hits DVD will give me some good diversity to incorporate with my other ab workouts to get a great mid-section.

My Cathe DVD library continues to grow....slowly but surely!

I like the Ab Hits DVD very much. My fave combo is the traditional abs section from MIS @ 8 mins long, followed by the planks series from both CTX Power Circuit and the CTX Kickbox workouts. Excellent core wokout!

Thanks, Clare. I'm looking forward to mixing and matching some ab combos to generate some gut-busting ab workouts. I'll have to look at your combination and give it a try.

I had been going along with my ab work really well until about 5-6 weeks ago, then I got sick and it was one thing after another. So, I just started getting back into my ab work this week and I've lost a lot of strength. I can't wait to get back up to speed.

I watched part of Rhythmic Step today on FitTV. Looks like fun. Could be a future order for me. Hope my DH doesn't look in the DVD drawer soon. He's not usually home when I work out so maybe he thinks I'm still using Basic Step/Body Fusion (the first one I bought). Don't want to trouble his little mind.

Yes, I found my love for Rhythmic Step on FitTV, as well. I recorded it, but I have finally decided that I want to see how it end (FitTV cuts off a whole section, and part of another, at the end of this workout). The last combo is my favorite one, and they chop it up and cut out a bunch right when I'm getting into it. Not anymore! I'm finally going to see how this workout ends, gosh darn it!

I did RS this morning. I really love the choreography in that workout. But I still haven't gotten that #%^#$&(@ section 3 down. I stopped halfway through b/c I was getting frustrated. One of these days............x(

Maximus:

It took me months to get that 3rd section down, and I really can't say that I've got it down 100%, but I'm almost there. BUT, I haven't seen the entire 3rd section, yet, since FitTV cuts it short...so, there might be something I haven't seen, yet, that will throw me off again. I can't wait to get the DVD and try the whole thing!

Me too! Mine's supposed to arrive on Tues. Can anyone tell me how Rhythmic compares to All Step? It's the only other step tape I have, so I'm really looking forward to RS. Thanks

I have been thinkin' about getting this dvd but I just don't know...sounds like something that I could get frustrated with and give up on.

I really don't need it right now though...I have so much that is still "new" in my collection that I have enough to keep me busy for a loooong time! lol I think I'll hold off a while longer until I'm REALLY itching for a new work out, ofcourse, I don't have most of the HC series so I may end up wanting them instead....Decision decisions! Rhythmic Step is another one of my favorites! Actually I love all of Cathe's step workouts, but this one is really fun! Good purchase! :)

It's one of my favourites too! I love the music and after a few times through, I didn't have any trouble with the footwork.

Sammy:

I've only done All Step a couple of times, and not all the way through, but all I can say it that I find Rhythmic Step more...well...fun, compared to All Step. All Step is great for a shorter workout, and it is much more intense in my opinion. Rhythmic Step, while still intense, is just more fun to do, and it's much longer than All Step. Some of the choreography in RS is tricky, and it does take a while to get it down for some people, but it's so worth it. I like all that intricate footwork because it keeps the workout from getting boring over time. Complicated footwork keeps workouts interesting and challenging no matter how many times you've done them.

I can't wait to get my DVD and finally see the end of the workout and do the "challenge"!!!! Woo-hoo, just a few more days to go...

i also recently bought rhythmic step after doing the fittv version for a long time. and let me say, that last little bit of the last combo that is edited out on tv? i can see why. all those pendulums and squats, whooooo i feel the burn }(

What a relief, I don't think I can handle anything more intense right now! It took me 4 tries just to be able to get through AS, but I'm ready for a change!

Thanks for the feedback, Can't wait for Lo Max Tonite!!! :D

Sammy

Sammy, don't be afraid to stop and rest for a couple of minutes during those workouts. I have to stop about 4-5 times in Imax2 (the FitTV version). I only stop long enough to catch my breath, and then I'm right back at it. I still get a great workout, and I still end drenched in sweat, but I know that my asthmatic lungs just can't take the prolonged high intensity. Adjust your workouts to your body so you don't overexert yourself and do more harm than good.

I'll be honest, even though AS is only 30 minutes long, I can't get all the way through it without stopping. I can pretty much get through FitTV's version of RS without stopping (I fast forward through the commercials so I'm only "down" for a few seconds) and that's about 45 minutes of aerobics. I think it's because she uses a faster tempo in AS.

Oh believe me, I do stop to catch my breath a couple of times (usually when the picture goes out and I have to jiggle the cables from the back of my very old VCR! :D I seriously need to get this wkout on DVD........

I'm just glad I know now that not all of Cathe's step workouts are as
intense....I was scared to order IMAX2 because I thought it would be a lot more grueling, but I think I may give it a go!

DANG! I guess I've talked Rhythmic Step up too much on here lately. I received my order today, and the Rhythmic Step DVD was on back order! Ha ha ha! Isn't that ironic?! Well, at least I got my Ab Hits, so I'll go home tonight and do...well...hmmm...I was going to do cardio, but now I might do GS: C&T's, with a little of my new ab work, of course. Decisions, decisions....
