I DID IT!

Cathlete
Today! I got through all the power scissors in IMax for the first time!

Okay, they weren't the deepest lunges I've ever done, but this is a big milestone for me! I am still modifying the plyo jacks and the tuck jumps. This workout has been such a mountain to climb and it still is. I just love it! I feel so proud-- just had to let you all know!:D

Congratulations Connie. You have every reason to be proud. Those scissors are hard. In fact, I think they are the hardest part of Imax. How long did it take you before you could do them?

I surprised myself with those airborne jumps during Imax 2. I wasn't thinking about it and I noticed I was doing them. Also she does ski hops and then a tuck, and I found I could do that. Why can't I put them together? So I made myself do them in Imax. Granted they aren't very high like Cathe, but it is much better. Scissors....now that is another story. LOL

I have had the tape for over a year, but due to the dread factor had only done it a few times until buckling down in November to a sort of once weekly (weakly?) schedule.

I am still glowing!

Can't wait to see IMax2 and all! They're headin' my way as we speak!!

Hi Connie,

Way to go!!! :7

The way to conquer Imax really is to just do it once/week every week. It really feels good doesn't it? I'm still waiting for it to get easier like I hear some folks talk about! Hasn't happened for me yet! It may be more do-able, but easy it ain't! ;-)

Alright Connie!!!! I do little mini scissors and regular jacks instead of plyos....it's so great to hear of your success. It gives me hope!!!! Thanks for posting this! It's encouraging!

Congrats Connie! Isn't that the best feeling!?! When Cathe starts that last set of them, I always count down in my head from 32. That way it is psychologically easier for me than starting at 16, counting all the way down to 1, and then having her say "I'd like to add 16 more!" I'm so happy for you. It's awesome to achieve stuff like that! (And I hear ya about not having them be the 'deepest lunges'!)

RE: Woo-Hoo Connie!

Yeah!! Now you can work on making those scissors more like lunges....ouch!!
Janice

Congrats! Isn't it a great feeling?!

I shelved IMAX for about four months after I had finally made it through without modifying and the other day I dusted it off and tried it again. How quickly I was humbled when I couldn't finish the plyo's and the airborne jacks/knee tucksx( I could still do the scissors but they weren't pretty. I feel like I have a new workout to "re"-conquer and that is what I love about Cathe's workouts!

Well done Connie !!!!!! :7 :7 :7 :7

You put me to shame :( ! I still can't do a power scissor, and I have been Imax-ing since October !!!!!!!!!

Anna :)

Congratulations! I tried it for the first time this week, but I'm still at the "is that woman insane???" stage. Thanks for sharing your success. It encourages me to keep trying.

RE: Woo-Hoo Connie!

Yes, Janice, and there are many more improvements I will make before I get a perfect replica of the IMax on the screen! I use a 6" step too. I did use an 8" height once or twice, but then went back to 6.

Yes, JJ (Ninjamom) Me too! The very enormity of this workout and all of Cathe's workouts is what makes them so valuable. Ladies, we are definitely not wasting our time!!

Oh, Anna, I worked out with dedication for 8 months beore getting the nerve to try one Cathe. That first one was just one year ago! So keep on keepin' on!!

Congrats Connie! I too am trying to do one of the IMAX videos either 1 or 2 times in my upcoming rotations..... we'll see.

Good work:)

Connie,

Thanks for posting and way to go! I've just started doing IMAX weekly, and it is KILLING me! Just today I did it and feel so pathetic at it! Your post and the others give me hope, so I will just keep pecking away at it, and hope that I can make a post like yours someday!

Rhonda (x( <--- how I look while doing IMAX!)
