Friday night I did Step Blast. Usually by the time I get to that third combo I'm pretty wiped out and doing well just to get through it, but this time -- I had a surge of energy that just kicked me into a higher gear. Friday night was the first time that I've been able to really take it up a notch and make the workout a little higher intensity all the way through. I was laughing and "woo-hoo'in" and, as Cathe says, "havin' a good ol' time" all the way through that 3rd combo. I didn't want it to end!
Then, today, I did Imax 2 for the first time - EVER! I've mentioned on here before that I have asthma, and I had gotten out of shape before starting up with Cathe in late summer this past year. So, it's been kind of an uphill battle to reach a point where I have the stamina to really kick my workouts into gear -- and, well, this New Year's weekend was when I finally reached that point! What a great time to hit a pivotal moment!
I'm really psyched! My legs have really toned up with the help of PLB and all the cardio I've been doing. I've really noticed a change. And this past week during PUB, I realized I was lifting the same amount of weight Cathe was lifting on many of the exercises. What a motivator! I mean, I never thought I'd be able to pick up my 20 pound dumbbells again, but this week I was using them on chest flyes. Woo-hoo!
Anyhoo, I just had to share my excitement! It's a great feeling to finally see the hard work paying off.
