I am officially addicted to Beyond Yoga

I just cannot stop buying their stuff. It's so soft, comfy & pretty! I just wish it wasn't so expensive. You know, they shipped me a huge box full of stuff by mistake, some of which was my size, so I called them & they had UPS pick it up. I thought they'd give me a discount or a coupon or something, but noooooooooooo. Nothing. Nada.

Anyway, if you haven't tried their stuff yet (and can afford pricey w/o clothes), check out their site: www.Iambeyond.com

Hi Laura,

I am exactly the same way. Over the last six months I have accumulated a lot of Beyond Yoga clothing. It is by far my favorite. I have gotten some excellent deals on amazon. Sometimes if you search through the different colors they have great clearance prices. It is the softest material ever! My husband always compliments me when I wear them too.

Very nice. I havent tried their clothing but it looks good.

I fantasize about creating a great line of clothing for yoga. The sourcing will be from India (fabric and styles that are Indian enselble inspired and with lovely Indian hand emboidery or tie-and-dye to create a contemporary, eastern but not-too-alien look, very comfy to do yoga in and yet feminine with high quality fabric) and selling them at affordable prices around the world.

That is pretty lame that they didn't even send you a coupon! High-end retailers are so snooty sometimes! You'd think a yoga clothing company would be more thoughtful!

I've been interested in their clothes for a while, but I can't find it in any stores locally, and I'm concerned about fit. Although I'm a totally "medium" person (5'8", athletic but not skinny), I often wear a small in yoga pants. But the only size chart I could find for Beyond Yoga indicated that their small fits a 2/4, and medium is 6/8.

Now, if there were a 4/6, I'd feel confident about that. The trouble is, too-big yoga pants are a disaster. I hate the hassle of sending things back. How do you gauge their sizing? A little small? A little big? Right on target?

I was just looking at their web site to try to figure out sizing as well and if you go to the "About Us" section they have sizing info. They actually say for bottoms their small is 4/6 and medium is 8/10.

Hopefully someone who's ordered can comment if their sizing is true to size or not.

REALLY? Wow...thanks for telling me about that! My finger is hovering over the "Submit Order" button. I will wait patiently for more feedback.

More power to you ladies! The stuff looks great for those of you with perfect bodies. No wonder so many celebrities wear the line. Cami tops and built-in bras don't work if you're bigger than a B cup and subject to gravity. And those thick waistbands on the pants create unsightly muffintop if you have more than 10% bodyfat, especially when sitting.

Like Laura I live in Beyond Yoga. BUT I should warn everyone there are a few things you should know. The clothing line is made of supplex which is the "IT" fabric in active wear. Feels like Egyptian cotton but has the wickability of polyester, nylon, and the stretch of lycra. It is absolutely fabulous and super duper comfy. Here's the thing you have to be careful how you wash, . . not because of shrinkage but because the fabric is a lint mangnet. You cannot wash with towels or sweaters because you'll be picking off a ton of lint. The other thing is with sizing. I wear an x-small and a size 2-4 in regular clothes but with all my other active wear I could get away with ordering a medium or a small and have it still fit or should I say stay up. I've lost close to 20lbs in the past year and my mediums that I originally bought have literally fallen off while running. :( Luckily I sew so I've just altered all my older pants. Although the clothing is constructed beautifully, flat seam contruction, and reinforced seams, gusset crotch, there is no elastic waistband in the yoga pants, which dare I say do not prove to be functional during a downward dog moment. Oh and what Nancy says is true. The yoga cami's and pants are great but when I'm having one of those oh so bloated moments hello muffin top. Heck I'm not void of the muffin I've had 2 kids and a lot of stretched skin in my belly. These WILL accentuate those ugh, . .not so perfect soft spots and the cami's are probably not the best for women with a cup size larger than a B just because they don't support as well.

Where do I sign up?

I would buy that!

Yes, the fabric does attract lint, but I wash all my dark w/o clothes together & line dry them so it's never been an issue for me. And the clothes run big. Funny, I've always liked that wide band b/c it seems to make my stomach flatter! Kinda holds things in. ;) Usually pants that DON'T have something like that give me the dreaded muffin top.

Nancy, I wear sports bras under all my w/o tops. I'm not big, but the gym is usually rather cool & I don't want to give anyone a show (not that there's much to look at). I don't even know the purpose of those shelf bras. They're useless even for the lesser endowed.

Hmmm...my body is FAR from perfect. But the bermudas look pretty cute just for kicking around, even if you're kicking around with an unglamorous body like mine! I had read a review on Amazon that suggested the sizing was pretty tricky, and if they were too big, you couldn't rely on elastic to help you "fake it".

Well, I'll order the small and see how it goes.

Mention my name. Maybe I'll FINALLY GET THAT STINKING COUPON CODE!:D

.

Laura, . . you have a uber flat stomach that I would die for!! Of course that wide band accentuates that. Wide band lower waist yoga pants are super flattering on flat stomach people. You'd be able to make a potato sack look good if it was sewn like that. Belly floppers like myself need some extra girdle spandex to hold what I like to call my wave of a belly. Nancy, funny you mention sitting because when you sit these pants are far from flattering. Why is that when I sit my stomach always looks bigger, . .that sorta sucks. I need to design the super comfortable yoga pant with but and belly support that fits all sizes of people and holds in everything when sitting!! Now I just need to team up with the mad scientist who can create a miracle fabric that does it all.

:eek::eek::eek: You are so sweet to say so, but not so uber flat when I'm not in clothes. 5 years ago yes, but not post-40. I can give you to the answer to your Q--at least this is my problem--it's skin. When I'm standing my stomach looks flat. When I'm sitting I have about 3 rolls hanging over those fabulously comfy Beyond Yoga pants.

1. I also wash my darks and lights separately and hang dry or flat dry and don't end up with lint issues.

2. I am 5'4", 114 lbs and wear a small in the long pants and capris, but an extra small in the shorts. I wear a size small for the cami tanks, but a size extra small in the original tank. Both the original tank and the bermuda shorts seem to run a bit big.

3. I LOVE LOVE LOVE the burmuda shorts! They are so flattering and comfortable. I would wear nothing else if I could.

4. I also usually wear a bra top underneath the tanks and cami's unless I am just doing yoga in the house. If I will be walking the dogs or leaving the house I wear a bra.

5. The first pair of pants I purchased shrank a little bit because I dried them. I never dry them anymore.

6. I don't fold over the waist, but for those of you that like to fold over for a really low rise, they have the logo printed on the inside of the pant upside down so it displays nicely on your sacrum if you fold over the top.

7. I purchased the Beyond Yoga pocket pant and they are little bit heavier than the rest of their line. I wear those to walk outside when it is a bit chilly.

I cannot say enough good things about this clothing line. I want more!

I am very excited about the bermudas. Also, vegan represent!

I would buy that!

Alisha,

If I ever launch this line, you get free clothes for life. :)

I want to do so many things (like everyone else I suppose) but find myself focused on my consulting career. So I dont think this is happeneing any time soon. The day dreams of different things I could do are still a fun way to live out my other business ideas.
