I "added on" to LL? What was I thinking????

What a dope! I tried Leaner Legs for the first time, 4 days ago (I just began using Cathe step workouts a month ago, and got so enamored, that I am trying her wt workouts now). I love working out with weights, but can no longer use heavy weights when squatting or lunging, so I opted to go a bit lighter on each exercise. I began the workout with doing Step Heat (I'm addicted! lol). Then, I began LL. After I was done, I thought "oh, that's not so tough!!!". So, dummy me decides to ADD ON to LL. I did some leg extentions and hamstring curls on my bench. 3 sets of 15 for each. I still felt so tough. lol

Next day? I felt great. Got up, but decided to take a rest day. But I still felt good. I was so proud of myself. I kept thinking "what's all the fuss about these Cathe leg workouts anyway? easy peasey!" :p

By about 5 pm that night, I could barely move. OMG. I've NEVER felt so achey in all my years of working out! Even my first attempt at horseback riding didn't hurt as bad. :+ I wanted to go down the stairs on my behind, but that hurt too much too.

It's been 4 days now, and I am STILL sore. I'm feeling muscle parts I never even knew I had. I don't think I've ever had my inner thighs hurt so much. lol Sitting, standing,....lying down! Everything aches. Dh's laughing, doesn't help either.

What was I thinking???? ;(

That is funny! Well not really, but you know what I mean........I cannot wait to get LEaner Legs in the meail!! I ordered it about 8 weeks ago!!!!!! Its still on backorder I believe or they lost my order, which I rather not think about! What is leaner legs like? Does she do lots of low ends???????

grrrrrrrrrrrrr... low-ends. That's IT! I bet that is what really caused these aches! I forgot about those. lol Yes, those bottom "half" squats. OMG. I think she used a 35lb barbell, and I used a 25lb--thinking it would be so easy. lol There is another one she does where she sits on the high step, and then lifts up to a squat and "holds". I'm sure that is responsible for my sore bum. The deadlifts are tricky though. I didn't really feel those at all, while doing them with only 25lb barbell, but I am sure they added to everything too.

I was going to attempt to try one of the Gym Styles upper body today, but I think the lower half of me needs one more day. LOL

I have Legs & Glutes too, but I forget what that one had in it now. LL will be on my mind for a long time to come. lol LL has this "Scottish" sounding type music on one part, where you keep stepping up on the high step. It really did keep me moving, and I forgot how many reps of these she makes you do. But, it's a LOT! lol She seems to do at least 16 r of everything. The only part of me that doesn't ache are my calves. I must have super strong ones. ;)

I know what you mean!!

I can't remember if it was Leaner Legs or GS Legs, but one of them had a calf sequence that rendered me useless for 3 days. Seriously, my calves kept cramping. I couldn't flex my foot when I walked. After sitting at my desk for an hour or so, my calves were so stiff that I couldn't even stand upright!!

I did Legs & Glutes on Wednesday night, followed by 25 minutes of step aerobics. Yesterday I felt good. Today, my hamstrings and glutes are screaming at me!!

But it's a good burn, so I'll take it. :) Tonight, I'm sticking with Step only. I'm thinking Imax or Step Blast.
