Hunger

Oh yes!!!!If you have changed your eating schedule around to eating 5-6 meals a day, your body will get use to it and you will need to keep eating every 2-3 hours, etc. or you may feel sick, as do I when I go beyond the 3 hours. It is a good thing...TRUST ME!!!! You will only rev up your metabolism this way if you are eating the right stuff! My hubby is eating this way too now and he just told me the other day that he will start to feel sick if he cannot eat every 2-3 hours. See what I have done to him! LOL!

I know. I have to take protein bars with me when I go on trips cuz I am not sure what or when I will eat next...I am a freak when it comes to food and when I eat, etc. A real nut!

I am exactly the same way - so much so, that my DH carries snacks in his pockets and in the car whenever we leave the house - just in case I get "hangry" (our term for angry + hungry - I get very grumpy as well as sick to my stomach). Every bag I own also has food in it ... You are not alone :)

My husband does the same thing. He knows I'm not nice to be with when I'm hungry. My DD is the same way, has been all her life. I tell people we have mild hypoglycemia.

*Raises hand* Me, too! Every 2-3 hours or I go nuts. My problem is portion control when we go out for lunch, especially knowing that I'm going to eat again around 3/4 in the afternoon. But I'm working on it. Planning what I'm going to have in advance helps a lot. Like today when we go to the Olive Garden - I'll look at their menu on line, pick something light (they have a light menu), ask for half to be put into a container and that will be my afternoon snack.

Yes me too! I have to eat every 2 hours . . . sometimes every hour. When we go out my husband also carries fuel around for me too!:p He says I have no reserves to pull from (low body fat) so when I am on empty I am seriously on EMPTY! He is also afraid I'll start chewing on him if he doesn't have an offering! :+

I actually AM hypoglycemic, so letting myself get hungry can result in some very unpleasant symptoms. Plus I get b*tchy as anything. So I eat very frequently. At least every 2-3 hours.

Glad to know I'm not alone. I get the same way, I need to eat every 2-3 hrs. or I get grumpy. I'm learning to make better snack choices and have them planned out which helps alot.

Me too, me too! I have to eat every 3 hours or I get really grumpy and I will start to shake. I freak out if I am out and realize that I won't be home in time to eat again and I don't have a snack with me. It's a good thing, but sometimes it's a pain in the butt too when food is not readily available.

Include me too! I bring a cooler to work with me. I alsp keep Kashi bars in my desk drawer.

I am so glad i am not the only one here, 2 weeks ago i met with a dietition who told me to eat 5 or 6 times a day. i do and i have noticed i am hungry every 2 hours or so. i don't know if i am making the right choices tho. i eat like 12 grain toast (2) with peanut butter and coffee. about 7:30 am. or yogurt and strawberries. then at nine i will have a piece of fruit. then lunch 11:00 am, i eat low fat low cal. mini frozen dinner, like lean quizeen or something. and fruit. then i eat about 1:00 pm, cottage cheese and peaches or string cheese. but when i leave at 3:30 i am hungry again and have to eat something before i work out. i work from 7 to 3:30 days. i feel like i am eating all day. peeps at work say i should just carry a suitcase to work for lunch lol. are the kashi bars and protien bars good for snacks and what if it's not enough? does anyone have any ideas of what else to eat every 2 hours? i usually have baked or grilled chicken and uncle bens 10 min. brown rice, a huge salad, with olive oil and vinegar for dressing. or i steam veggies. i also drink lemon water all day. but i am not losing as much as i would like. any suggestions??:+

This is so me. DBF and I have had many an argument because I'm hungry and ready to eat and he's not. I've learned to keep something with me at all times especially when I'm with him. Sometimes it seems like I'm ravenous all day long.

I'm hungry all the time. More so when on a regular exercise program. I Need to eat before a Cathe w/o or else I can forget about completing it because I feel hypoglycemic and have no energy. I also get the munchies after working out.

You know, while I could ALWAYS eat, I wouldn't say I'm always hungry. I usually eat 3 meals a day & a snack at about 9:00 at night. But, if you put food in front of me I'll eat it, & my family always kids me that if I didn't run out of food or someone didn't tell me to stop eating I'd go forever.:9

But I don't think you HAVE to be hungry all the time. A good book and a terrific diet if you want to lose weight is Bruce Fife's EAT FAT LOOK THIN -- about coconut and how it can sustain you without adding weight, etc., because it stimulates one's metabolism.

If you're interested, you might look into it -- it's inexpensive and can be found at www.wildernessfamilynaturals.com or www.borders.com:)

Not only do I have to eat every 2-3 hours, but if I don't get to and then I finally eat later than I should I get a really bad stomach ache that lasts usually the rest of the day/night. I also get shaky if I don't eat. I was in a hotel room in London after a trade show I had worked that day and we were all meeting in our hotel lobby at 8:30pm to go to dinner (way late for me but typical on those trips). I got really shaky and had one of the Power Bars I had for my morning runs. Well that night when I got back after dinner it looked like a tornado hit my room! I had pulled the stuff out of my suitcase looking for the bar and had thrown the wrapper on the floor - something I would never normally do. It was kind of freaky seeing that b/c I remembered looking for that bar but not making such a mess. I do remember I was REALLY shaky.

I'm glad I'm not the only one. I'll have to tell DH he should start carrying food for me. :)

I, too, am an eating machine. Every 2-3 hours, gotta have something. I don't feel "sick" if I don't eat, I just get light-headed and shaky.
