Hubby so sick

I didn't know a kidney stone can cause such trouble! he is so sick and is t he most stubborn man in the world!!! I want to take him to the hospital and he won't go, he is doubled over in the bathroom with bad stomach pain and he says his intestines are bugging him.
Sorry to vent I am just frustrated becuase he thinks he has to play the hero when he is sick. He goes to the doctor this morning but I think he needs to go to the Emergency room NOW!

Leslie, I'm so sorry to hear how sick your DH is! You should listen to your instincts here, sweetie -- kidney stones are nothing to fool around with, and if it were my DH I think I'd put him in the car and high-tail it to the ER if that's what my gut told me.

Leslie- hopefully he'll see his Dr. soon. They'll give him something for the pain but it needs to be checked out... there's also no gaurantee that it will pass now (it could take hours/days if its small). They may want to laser it, too- there's no reason he should be in that much discomfort. Get him some help- I know, men are stubborn, but you don't get a medal for passing a kidney stone on the floor of your bathroom!

Put him in the car and go to the ER!

This happened to my husband and it was the most excruciating pain for him! They don't say it's like giving birth to men for nothing!;-)

They will check him and give him demerol or some other strong pain killer/sedative.

Go and let us know what happens!
