Howard Stern to replace Simon Cowell

So it doesn't matter to me who is a judge on AI. I only watch the try outs cause I think they are hilarious but I do have a question.....What qualifies Howard Stern to judge people on their ability to sing?? Seriously! Perhaps there is something I don't know about him?? What am I missing here?

Honestly, I don't think Howard is qualified to judge any ones singing. I think A.I. is going after him because he's so honest and very outspoken. He tells people exactly what he thinks.

That's what I was wondering. Don't get me wrong, I do like Howard Stern (most of the time ) I just didn't think he'd be a logical choice for a talent show like this. At the same time, I am sitting here wondering who could replace Simon and I can't think of anyone. Who would you guys choose?

Well, as I mentioned, I don't watch the show, but can't pretty much anyone judge whether someone can sing a cover? A lot of it is pretty much objective, isn't it? First, and foremost, the judges have to be familiar with the kind of singing that's showcased on that kind of show, and, after that, it's anyone's opinion. They are, after all, trying to find "talent" that a major hunk of Americans are going to like and be willing to dole out money for.

You don't get to be as famous as Howard Stern without knowing how to market to middle America (whether it's to win them over or piss them off).

I'm wondering the same thing. I can't think of one single person that I'd like to see (besides Howard) replace Simon. I want some one that's going to be brutally honest with the contestants.
