How would you feel?

Kit, you lost me here. What did these women object to? "Barbie doll miniature" does not sound like a negative to me. Wish I was one. Why did 90% of the people at the gym not want to work out with you? I just don't get it. Maybe they were intimidated by how beautiful you are? Maybe it made them feel self-conscious or something? ???

Nancy thanks ;-) I was pretty lost during that time as well. The women who really got upset wasn't all that out of shape. She looked to be about 5'6 - 5'8, probably in her 40s but just was not pleased to have someone young and short. Most of the other's didn't want someone so young, I was about ready to wear a shirt that said I was 25. I must have made them feel self-conscious. I never had so many, be so negative in my life. Maybe I picked the wrong gym and that's where grumpy people went to workout out. I really don't know, I was pretty much shocked and dumbfounded. As well as the manager, I remember him actually asking me if I normally got these types of reactions and I told him no, I usually had a client every two hours workout with me. He just shook his head and told me people were different in this area.

As for being called a Barbie miniature I probably wouldn’t have minded it, if it hadn’t been said in such a negative way.

I think I am going to try again, I’m just going to do a few things different, I’m going to list my certification first and my age then a picture rather then the picture with the age and certification.

Thanks,

Kit

Kit, sounds like that experience at that gym was a fluke. I would just try to forget it and move on. You sound like a wonderful trainer. If you come to Brooklyn Heights, please let me know! :D
