22 in the widest part (the upper part, where most of the fat is- I hate the tapering down the thigh that it creates). 15.5 in the thinnest part, near the knee.
you know, not to be the party pooper, but these numbers are SO relative. 20 vs 21 vs 23 means very different things depending upon your build, genetics, etc. I read these responses and the numbers mean nothing to me. If i see what you look like, maybe I'd get a better sense. Just my dime, quarter, and a couple nickels.
Debbie - I agree with you. But it is fun to compare, regardless of lack of meaning.
There is one thing that's bothering me though. I'm 5'10, wear a size 12 (want to get to an 8/10) and from what I'm reading, my thighs are kind of an average - a higher average - but not atypical. Why are so many of the pants that I try on tight in the thighs??? My thighs do not LOOK that big. It's frustrating. Who wears these things?
I have the same problem. I especially have trouble with boot cut slacks and jeans because of the way the narrow through the thigh before they flare out. I get the best fit from wide leg or straight leg trousers.
Ralph Lauren -- I bought a pair a couple of weeks ago. Jones New York also had a trouser jean and they were very cute. They had a slightly dressier look to them.
