Cathe I've been doing your workouts since last spring. I was in reasonable shape to begin with, lots of running, hiking, skiing.
For squats and lunges I use bar + 10, for total 15 lbs. I'm not finding squats/lunges any easier than when I started. I'm confounded because I thought my legs would "improve" more quickly. My ab strength has increased nicely. My upper body strength has improved...using the same weight Cathe & crew are using in Power Hour, Muscle Max, and Bootcamp. so ab and upper body seem to be progressing but legs not much.
Why are my legs not improving? the progress so far is that I don't get sore but I'm using the same weight and the last reps are still tough. What can I do to break the plateau? I do treadmill and elliptical 4-5 days a week. Should I increase weight anyway and do fewer reps? Thoughts from any and all welcome....
