How to do levitations?

In Core Max #1, I've only managed to "levitate" once and that was purely by accident. What muscles should I be squeezing? Any recommendation on hand position? How are the leg muscles used during the move? I really want to be able to do this move. It looks so cool.

I was successful by using hand weights under my hands. My fingers weren't strong enough to hold me up, but when I wrap my hands around hand weights, I am able to lift myself right up. It also helps to try your hands in different places near your knees. Somehow, I just happened upon the right position. It's using your core, but I can't really explain how it happens. It's magic : )

And if you have trouble keeping your feet off the floor, what I've done to cheat is this. Sit on the edge of your step with your feet criss crossed in front, hanging off the step. When you lift off, even if your feet are pulling down a little, they're still not resting on the floor.

Great idea! Because one of my legs won't bend all the way back due to a broken leg long ago (I can never sit on that heel.), I have not been able to do this move, but I think with the step to help me, I can do it. Thank you.

Yoga blocks are also helpful as a "cheat" if you happen to have them.
This move is basically a yoga pose; by holding yourself up using yoga blocks (which basically look like large bricks made of very sturdy foam or other material), you can get used to the move over time and, as you grow stronger, gradually work your way to doing it with your hands flat on the floor.
