How often do you do cardio?

Hey everyone!!

I LOVE Cardio and I like to do a Cardio hi/lo workout for 60-90 minutes 4-5 times per week(If I just do a weight workout, I find myself feeling guilty, and feeling like I did not get a good workout...which I know is silly)
I usually do 60-90 minutes cardio: Cathe or Christi Taylor, and then I will do a Cathe weight workout like ME or PUB/PLB and then I try to do at least 10-15 minutes of abs, does anyone else do this too??? Just curious...
I got all 44 of Cathe's DVD's last week,and I am thrilled...so many choices, I did Circuit Max and AB Hits today and LOVED them!!! I can't wait to get my Hardcore DVD's...anyone hear anything??? :)

Can I just say how envious I am of you ordering all 44 of her dvd's........wowwwwwwwwwwwwwww......I'm new to Cathe and can't answer your questions but had to post about your purchase.

I do cardio only workouts 3-4 times a week. I actually feel like I've gotten a better workout when I do an all weight workout. Probably because it's "tougher".

My favorite cardio is Step Blast, I think.

Wow, all 44 workouts. Wish it were me.

Oh, well.

On the workouts, just keep in mind that a full and complete rotation should have 5 different parts: 1) cardio; 2) strength; 3) anaerobics; 4) plyometrics 5) stretching. All are very important to a full program. With Cathe's IMAX and IMAX 2, as well as Bootcamp and High Step Advanced, you get cardio, anaerobics, plyometrics. In Bootcamp and High Step Advanced, you get the same, plus strength. Wow!

Anyway, these are the general guidelines that I use to build a rotation, and it's from the book, READY, SET, GO! by Phil Campbell.

Welcome to the addictive world of Cathe. My absolute favorite cardio is IMAX 2. The time just flies and I am dripping sweat when I'm done.

By the way, is your credit card still smoking?:)

I work out 6 days per week and like to do cardio atleast 5 of those days for 30-60 minutes each.

In January I did a rotation where I did an hour of cardio 3 days per week, 30 mins of cardio 2 days per week plus 30 mins of weights, and 1 day of weight training only.

This month I will basically be getting 30 mins of cardio on all 6 days plus about 30 mins of weight training each day as well.

I used to like weights more than cardio but ever since I quit smokin' almost a year ago, my lungs have "cleared out" and I have grown to enjoy cardio so much more! I do the weights b/c I know it's an integral part of a good fitness plan, but I certainly do enjoy the cardio more these days.:D

Yes, my credit card is still smoking ...LOL

I also bought the high step, a new black and gray club step and a Troy Lite barbell...LOL It is still on fire in my purse!!!

It is so nice to just pick out any workout I want to do, whenever I want to do it. I did Cardio Kicks and CTX upper body split and the leaner legs abs...WOW!!! It was Great!!! I am thrilled!! I really am in Cathe Heaven now...LOL!!!

Wow, Denise, I am so jealous! :) I only have a few of the workouts, but someday...

I am a weights junkie. I love to lift heavy, heavy weights and grunt and carry on... hehehehe. Therefore I have to force myself to do cardio, although I really like it once I get going. I don't know why I dread it so... hmm. This rotation I am doing 45-60 min of cardio 2x a week plus abs and four days of heavy lifting (split into upper and lower body). Next month I will do a cardio rotation as bathing suit season is hurtling towards us...

I bought my club step from them yesterday and was happy to find a free Cathe video (CTX All Step) included. It's one I didn't have.

I do resistance and cardio everyday. My cardio is either 45-60 minutes on my elliptical or an IMAX of my choice. Sometimes I'll throw in a 2nd cardio in the evening like step blast, KP&C. etc. I know there are differenct theories on hoe often and how long to do cardio, but I find it's the only thing to jack up the calorie burn. Love running to but I scaled it back due to knee concerns.
