How Much Floor Space?

I'm a 1st time forum user so please bear with me. I am a long time Cathe fan & have several tapes/DVD's. In the near future I will be losing allot of workout space do to re-modeling. Since Cathe's catalog doesn't list how much floor space is required (called in & rep. couldn't help either), can someone give me suggestions on which routines (cardio and/or circuit)would use the least amount of floor space? I'm thinking Boot Camp should be OK (hopefully). Would love to get the new Blast series, just afraid to buy it & not be able to use it.

Hi Andrea and welcome. I moved to a new home last summer and like you lost alot of space in which to workout. I have a space of 6'2" x 10'. I can do the BodyBlast series just fine with a few modifications on the hi-lo in Step Pump and Jump. I love Boot Camp and Kick Punch and Crunch 'cause they can be done on a postage stamp :). Circuit Max is great, I just don't put my step out until we actually use it. Cardio Kicks needs quite a bit of space, I actually have to slide right out of the room and actually did a wholop of a wall slam once (with style and grace of course!).
Hope this Helps

Thank you Laurie! Your response makes me feel a little better. At this point I'm not sure how much room I'll be left with & 6'2" x 10" sounds like a luxury!
Thanks again.

Also remember that you can always substitute in-place movements (from moderate ones such as marches in place, side-to-side steps with or without hamstring curls etc. to high-intensity ones such as plyo jacks, explosive lunges or vertical jumps) for traveling movements regardless of whether they are forward/back or lateral.

I also have a tiny workout space, about 6x9. I'm a small person so it works out for me when stepping and even when kickboxing and I have to do all those kicks. I do find it cramped when I do Cardio Kicks where there are a lot of moves that "travel", but I just do those back and forth, side to side or in place. When I did L&G for the first time last week, I also noticed that I need more space than usual if I have to follow Cathe's pace as she moved quickly from one exercise to the next. I had to pause the DVD a lot to move and reset equipment. To maximize what little space I have, I usually line up my DB's on the bed and put my step under the bed and my BB, ball and fanny lifter (which I use in place of the high step) right next to the bed. I can, however, do PS and the Pyramids just fine even though most of my equipment is littered on my workout space.
