actually do the 40 min steady state run that Cathe sometimes puts in her rotations? I am doing the circuit city rotation and decided to actually do the run instead of substitute with another form of cardio like I always do. I ran 5 miles, and it took about 50 min instead. Wow, what a workout. Why didn't I do this before?
 
Well, I always do the run if the weather permits! I love running!! And it sounds like you will too! Do some good stretching, your legs are going to be SORE tomorrow! It's amazing the different muscles you work when you run.

I always do the running Cathe puts in her rotations. Usually, when there's an interval run/walk in there I do interval run (either speed interval or hill interval).

The heat here in Athens is too much for outdoor running 3-4 months a year so I got a treadmill just to add running to my rotations (including iPod) - great variety training with kickboxing, step, hi/lo...

Don't laugh...

I just had to pop on here and say that I ran today for the first time in a year! I injured my knee slipping off the side of a step last April 17th. I was just getting to the point where Ohio had good weather for jogging and had to skip jogging the whole year due to my knee...sooo today was my first adventure out since the injury. I ONLY jogged 10:35 since I promised myself no more then 10 minutes out the first day just to give the knee a try and it felt sooooooo good! Can you tell I am happy? :7 I LOVE jogging and it is the one thing that helps me battle my weight and midsection sooo hopefully, I will be back in full swing wihin a couple weeks.
