How many hours of sleep do you get?

Contratulations on your pregnancy Autumn. :) You need extra sleep now, so take it when you can.

Has anyone tried L-theanine for sleep ?? I've been reading about it. It's an amino acid , and comes from green tea, if I have it right and is supposed to promote calmness and is used for insomnia. That is one of the few natural remedies left I haven't tried yet and wonder if anyone can tell me their experience with it ...............

I'll have to learn more about L-theanine. DH suffers from insomnia.
 
I'm an 8-9 hour a night and I'm glad to see how many of you are too! My friends always brag about how they only need 5 max....although I think some of them would be much nicer if they got a little more! ;)
 
I do great on about 7 hours a night, but I too suffer from bad insomnia.. usually on those nights its 4.5-5hours.

I go to bed just fine, usually around 11 give or take. Then I'm up around 4 and can't back to sleep. I will do this for weeks at a time and then the insomnia trigger will "turn off" and I'll get back to my 7 hours again.

I have found that if I'm eating super clean and limiting my bad carbs my sleep is worse. If I eat a bunch of junk I sleep like a baby.. Anybody else experience that?
