How many hours a day do you workout?

1-2 hours a day, 5-6 times a week. But I break it up. For example, I'll do CoreMax, the stability ball section of certain DVD's or 30 min of cardio in the a.m., then I walk 45 minutes during lunch and try to get in some sort of strength training in the p.m.

An hour a day is ideal for me. Some Cathe videos are over 70 minutes and I don't have a problem doing those as well. Now that I'm a fitness instuctor though, I end up working out sometimes 2 or 2 and a half hours a day (if you consider Pilates "working out"). Tomorrow I teach 2 pilates classes(2 hours), one core class(30 minutes) and one step class(55 minutes) so you know I'll be eating a LOT!! Occasionally I'll teach 2 "difficult" classes in a row. Like this weekend, I have a strength training class right before a step class(a total of 2 hours). Sometimes it feels like a mini marathon!!

I think it depends on how you workout. A few years ago, I worked out 90 minutes to 2 hours a day. Then I switched to BFL and do 20-30 minutes interval cardio 3 times a week and 30-45 minutes weights 3 times a week and am getting great results.

I work out 1-2.5 hours per day(I am a fitness instructor which accounts for the longer durations) Current Dept. of Health recomendations are: 30 min. to improve health
60 min. to maintain current weight
60-90 min. for weight loss
All on "most" days of the week.

Pesonally,I think 60 min. is a realistic goal for most people. Focus on food intake for better weight loss results.

My marathon workout was an 8 hour hike on Isle Royale.13+miles on extremely rough terrain!!!Man did that beer taste good after that!!!
