How long do you wait to workout after....

you've finally started feeling better after being sick? I had (have) the flu. Think I'll try going to work tomorrow for the first time; worst day symptom-wise was Sunday. Still feeling funny in my chest, but that's about it. Thanks!

If I was running a fever, I usually wait until my temp is holding at normal for a good 24 hours before exercising again...

If it's not a fever thing then it's hard to say...just kinda when the energy has started to come back and I feel I can handle it...even if it's short and sweet and a lot less intense than normal.

Have a great work out!

I do when I start to feel up to it, and I always ease back into it with lighter cardio (Christi Taylor or an easier Cathe) and weights (Push Pull or Supersets).

I hate being sick! I'm glad you're feeling better!:)

I was recently sick. I took FIVE days off. I felt ok, I mainly had a lot of congestion and a nagging cough. I started taking NAC, but it was taking too long to work, so I tried Musinex (sp?) That's been working for me quite a bit.

I wait until I feel like I'm ready. I just let my body tell me when it's ready to work out again. Since I have asthma, it takes longer for my lungs to recover from a bad cold or flu, so it can easily be 2-3 weeks before I'm able to work out again. And that SUCKS! Luckily, I have a strong immune system and haven't had a bad cold/flu for about 2 years. Before that, I can't remember the last time I'd been sick with either. I'm big on preventitive measures.
