RE: How long did it take you to get the step routines d...
I just love Rhythmic Step! I did Step Blast constantly for the first few months, but finally gave Rhythmic Step a shot. It's funny - when I do Rhythmic Step, it's my favorite cardio workout, but when I go back to Step Blast, it becomes my favorite workout. They are both so good!
I've been doing Rhythmic Step for about 3-4 months now, and I will tell you that the 3rd combo still gets me. I can't get that knee, kick, and heel sequence coordinated with the arms that go along with it, and I get all turned around, so I just don't do the arms. Plus, my copy is taped off of FitTV and they cut out a bunch of that last combo so they could fit the workout into the hour timeslot...so I'm sure that's part of my problem...because it's a little chopped up. I MUST get the DVD so I can have the full, complete workout, complete with the challenge at the end!
At any rate, I wanted to add that people should do the routines without a step the first couple of times they do a workout like Step Blast or Rhythmic Step. It's so much easier to learn the footwork when you don't have to worry about falling over a step. Once you get the footwork down, add the step back in and you'll find it's a lot easier.
Oh, and "rewind" is your friend. It sure was mine in the beginning when I was learned Step Blast.
