How late can you safely fly?

Im planning ahead, just wondering at how many months is it too risky to fly? Anyone know?

My OB told me not to fly after 7 months, but I think that may be on the conservative side. They just don't want any chances of you going into labor on the plane. Now that I think of it, some airlines have rules about pregnant women flying after a certain point in pregnancy that you can check out online. I believe you need a Dr.'s note for some of them.

I was told not to fly after 32 weeks.

Yes, after 7 months it is NOT recommended.

My OB said some airlines have a cutoff of 32-34 weeks. I recently flew to Chicago for my sister's wedding. I was 35 1/2 weeks when we flew back. My OB cleared me, and there were no problems at the airport (I don't look very PG though). Normally, I probably wouldn't have flown that late, but I had to be at my sister's wedding!
