How do YOU get through IMAX 3

I know I have posted about this work out before, but I just did IMAX 3 for the second time last night and MAN !!! I just cannot figure out how to get through all those plyo jumps/squats ( sp )
My question is: Is there anyone who has done, or is doing IMAX 3,,,and if so, HOW or what do YOU do to push through those crazy-crazy plyo squats?? i just can't get through the whole thing and it really frustrated me big time.
I know it's going to take me a while until I get more leg strength up, but holy cow.
I get half way through , and then I have to do the old ' hands on the knees bent -over' break. Then,,,you've yet to get through the last blast ,,uh,,,can't talk about it,,,my legs burn just mentioning it. Any other work-outs out there to help with leg strength so that one of these days I can get through the whole thing ??
I'm out to conquer this work out !! Any advice is greatly appreciated.

Hi Morgs,

Are you talking about the plie jumps, interspersed with criss-cross jumps? If so, I know what you're talking about how hard it is to get through them. For the first little while I think I could do the first 16 plie jumps, then would switch to jumping jacks. I just felt it was better to do something than nothing.

It takes time, but eventually you'll be able to get through the whole thing - and you'll be so proud of yourself!!

I honestly found that the HIIT workouts have helped me tremendously with this workout, and I can get through the whole thing and feel great at the end.

So, it is possible, just keep at it!

ITA with Melanie; the HIIT workouts really helped me get through these!! Mainly, just keep at it. Note how many you can do and then aim to do at least 1 more the next time around. I have been doing IMAX 3 for awhile now and last week was the 1st time I got thru this blast without modifying. You can do it!!!

BTW, this is def my favorite of the IMAX videos!! Can't beat the music and "Human Nature" is such a great song :)
 
That was the last of the intervals for me to be able to get thru. That one is tough, tough, tough. Do what you can, and take a break. Go shallower in the jumps, or as a previous poster said, do what you can and switch to regular jacks. I had the rest of the workout down long before this interval fell into place. The best I can say, is keep at it, it will come. Good luck!

I agree with the others, it's a process of just continuing to build up your stamina. Push yourself to your limits each time you do the workout, and you'll eventually get to the point where you can do the whole thing. But it won't ever be easy--otherwise it would be a waste of time, right? ;)

Also, for me, it helps to schedule workouts like Imax 3 on the day after my rest day so I am fresh and have extra energy!
 
Yep, You're right. Its the Plie jumps with criss cross that I have the worst time with. Ugh,,,it actually gets to the point where it hurts and ,,like some of you said, you have to subsitute something else in there until you can work up to it.
I wonder sometimes how Cathe and crew get through those tough ones , WITH grace, a smile, AND coordination. ;) Man when I start getting tired and exhausted,, I start getting sloppy and I'm all over the place struggeling to get through.
You're all right though, I remember it did take me a while to be able to get through ALL of the blasts in IMAX2. Whoever said that IMAX 3 was WAY harder than IMAX2 was right on ! Thanks all for the continued support !
 
I just got this dvd the other day and I'm still trying to learn the combos because she does not break them down. So I'm not even sweatin the plie squats yet....:confused:
 
I bought it a couple of months ago,tried it once only got passed warm up! lol....I have 1 & 2 i'll do those until I don't have to modify any more before trying again!
