How do I keep my arms toned while nursing an injury?

I somehow injured my elbow or more likely the tendons around my elbow and now any pushing or pulling exercise is keeping it irritated. I have laid of any kind of upper body workouts for at least 2 weeks now. I am still feeling a little bit tender in that area and was wondering if punching drills with weights on my hands would be adequate to keep up my arms?

Thanks in advance!

Hi Rachel! I don't recommend doing punching drills with weights. That will definitely aggravate your elbow area. If after taking two weeks off and still feeling discomfort, you will greatly benefit from going to a physical therapist for an evaluation and some specific rehab exercises. They will give you the proper therapy to address the inflammation, recovery and restorative exercises all at once. My motto: Lick it early and lick it for good!
