How did we do?

Happy Black Friday everyone! Everyone must be shopping, huh? I can't imagine taking my 3 and 1 year olds out today (DH is working this morning) so I'm at home.

How was Thanksgiving? Did everyone deal with massive amounts of food and family OK? We had a nice day. I ate a normal breakfast and light lunch and so only ate turkey, cranberry relish and salad at the big meal. I had some light soup and fruit when I got home- so all went according to plan. Hooray! Now I don't have to lug around guilt and icky food feelings all weekend.

I just finished Body Max and am off to print out Debbie's new December rotation and get a shower before the kids are awake. Have a great day!

We had a good Thanksgiving. It was a small family gathering with a couple of friends and 2 dogs. I didn't eat too much. My main meal was dinner and we ate around 2:30 so I didn't have anything else the rest of the day. I actually feel really good today.

I'm going shopping on Sunday morning while everyone else is in church. I'm going to try to go on a short run this morning before it rains, then clean max for the rest of the day.

Hey there...good job orphylea - great eating and planning!! It was just my husband and I and we were feeling so blessed. Quiet, easy, nice. I made a turkey breast some veges and roasted potatoes. Tasted great and was easy clean up and not overindulging.

I did an upper body workout and actually cleaned out a closet. Then we put a big fire in the fireplace and watched a million episodes of The Closer.

Sounds kind of boring - but was absolutely great for us. I feel so rested and happy. Today, going to do cardio on elliptical with Press Play - first time I've done that workout. Then I'm going to clean out DH's closet while I listen to my Blogging Mastermind MP3's - as I prepare for a new division in my company. yea.

I know, sounds boring, but feels like nesting and pure happiness to me!;
Life is good.

I went to my grandparents house with my husband and 2 girls and I ate like it was nobody's business and the best part about it is that I dont even feel guilty about it. I had 2 plates of course. We're spanish so I had the typical Thanksgiving meal of arroz con gandules, turkey, roast pork, potatoe salad, pasteles, wine , and dessert was flan. YUMMYYYYYY!!! Nobody beats grandma's cooking!!!

I went to friend's - we have a huge yearly gathering of about 50 people every Thanksgiving over there. Had a lot of yummy food that I only get once a year - think Thanksgiving with an Indian (Eastern Indian) flare - fabulous! Had that, "Oh boy, ate too much", feeling but that's okay. I did a good workout, had a light breakfast and skipped dinner, so I'm happy.

I must confess that it wasn't too hard to resist- my MIL is a good cook but Thanksgiving food isn't a big thing for me. I try not to waste a good indulgent meal on something that isn't my thing, you know?

Spanish food? Eastern Indian flare? Now THAT I could get into!

Christine, I'm always envious of your Indian-inspired Thanksgivings!

I had every intention of eating plenty of turkey at my SIL's house so I wouldn't come home hungry, but brought some Weil bars in my purse just in case. The turkey was truly awful. I wound up switching plates with DH so I'd have an empty plate in front of me. I mean, I like turkey so much, I don't even mind if it's dry, but this turkey just tasted BAD. I ate some fruit salad at SIL's, and ate my Weil bars in the train coming home. It was nice to see the family, though, and I had an enjoyable time.

We have our second Thanksgiving tonight at Mom's house, where the food will be to die for, but very healthy! :)

had the all american thanksgiving with turkey, ham, and all the traditional fixins',put up xmas decorations(swear dh was worse then the kid to get it done) and did nothing this morning. about to hit the post office to mail out some packages for VF giveaways and maybe see my in-laws since we didn't see them yesterday. i don't intend on any more shopping until christmas unless its for food LOL.

i am finished with the kids, most was clearance, already on sale, closeouts, and online stuff!

Thanksgiving was quieter than usual this year. My DH and 16 yr old DS are in New York this Thanksgiving. I didn't want to go. I prefer to spend it with family. So I drove the 50 miles to my parent's house with my two other kids. My sister was there but left right after I got there. Two of her kids stayed so it was my two kids, my two nephews, and my parents. It's going to be a difficult holiday season. We're all still mourning the loss of my 20 yr old nephew 4 months ago. He lived with my parents so it's hard knowing he's not there. I think that's why my sister left early. She just couldn't handle it. Later my neice came with her new boyfriend. I was sorry to see my sister leave early because I knew she wouldn't see her daughter if she did leave. (None of her kids live with her)

My other sister recently got married so she spent the holiday with her husband's family. I'm getting ready to drive back to my parent's house and spend the evening with them and pick up my 9 yr old who spent the night there.

Hey ladies! Glad to hear everyone had a nice holiday. I did as well. Went to the inlaws for turkey day. I've been in a really good mindset and haven't had the urge to binge eat in almost 2 months. i've finally learned moderation and its all about the mindset. So i had a little of everything. I didn't get seconds b/c i was satisfied and i didn't even want desert which was unusual for me. It was so great waking up this morning without the food hangover!
