You've ALWAYS said so many nice, nice things to me, I couldn't even remember where to start! You tend to make others feel GOOD! That is a very nice trait! And, if I remember right, your are the BEST Aunt on the planet and know how to show your niece how to have FUN! There are others and BTW, we all have bad days, trust me!

I think one of my good traits is that I never met a stranger, meaning everyone is my friend. (Hubby says I am too trusting/naive but I guess I am a people-lover.) I just love life in general and feel so blessed with all I have been given. I have had many heartaches along the way losing my immediate family to heart attacks, cancer and car accidents but am able to realize even thru the pain that "All things work for good."

I'm going to list FIVE things I like about myself (what the heck!):

1. I'm a great mother.
2. I'm also a great teacher (although I only volunteer to teach these days).
3. I have a very dry sense of humor.
4. I'm tenacious.
5. I'm very organized.

I don't think I've ever done this before. It feels weird to brag like this!

You're a gem yourself. Your number 1 makes me think that there are days I wish I could do over to be even a better Mom. I remember Oprah saying that we do the best we can at that moment and I DO think I was a good Mom but now wish I hadn't worried about stupid things such as keeping my son's shirt tucked in or caring if he used too much "goop" in his hair like the OTHER kids. I can look back now and think, how trivial! Becoming a mom was one the best gifts I ever received TWO times around. Now, I get to spoil the grandkids!

Yes, it's always my goal to make others feel better about themselves because I think many women are like me and are too hard on themselves. I've read about studies that state that, in general, men tend to overinflate their accomplishments and women tend to overlook theirs. I don't know why this is (nature or nurture?) but I do think that it stinks! It also doesn't help at all that my parents were boy-crazy. I fight those attitudes whereever I see them and making it in a man's world, as Sarahinva said, was very important to me. But I still have my bad days; less so now than ever before, but they still show up from time to time.

How could I possible forget that I am "Cool Aunt Nancy"!?!? Thank you for reminding me! There is nothing better than that!!! :D :D :D "Cool Aunt Nancy" Happydance:
