Wow - is this show getting "catty"! Tamra is a double edged sword and Vicki is going to end up divorced yet!

But I'm hooked - and next week looks like a doozy of an episode! Gretchen does not look like she is portrayed as the nice innocent girl!
 
This show is my secret indulgence. I just love it!!! I cannot wait to watch it today. Did you know that Gretchens DF died..I think in Septemeber??
 
It's my guilty pleasure, too. Next week's episode is going to be crazy! I think Tamra and her son are up to no good. And I think Vicki and Tamra are the epitomy of "mean girls". Could they be more high school? I'm sorry to hear about Gretchen's DF. I think she truly cared for him.
 
I love this show too! I haven't watched the new episode yet. I haven't made up my mind about Gretchen yet.
 
I haven't watched yet either--but I'd love to comment on last week's show about the kids--OMG! What a bunch of spoiled rotten brats! LOL! The only one who seems to have a good head on her shoulders is Vickie's daughter, who's a nurse or something. And I really feel badly for Lynn's oldest daughter--she has such an inferiority complex, esp. when it comes to her younger sis, & I really don't understand it. She's a beautiful girl--IMO prettier than her sis--but she just flies off the handle w/jealousy over the dumbest things. Still spoiled though. A BMW for her b'day when she doesn't even have her license yet? :rolleyes: And that dress for the b'day lunch--holy crap! That little girl's cheeks were peeking out from the bottom--she really did resemble a prostitute! :eek: Tamra's son is like the world's biggest a$$hole & needs a good hard spanking if you ask me.......:p

Surprisingly, I like Gretchen the most. She's kind of a dingbat but she really does seem sweet & sincere. It appears she came from money so maybe she isn't as big of a gold digger as I thought. I still think she's w/her fiance for his money, but I also think she cares about him. And her fiance's kids like her. Kids are usually pretty savvy about this kind of thng, so I figure if they like her she can't be all bad. Tamra was so out of line when she said Gretchen shouldn't have gone on vacation! OMG! I've had a sick parent hospitalized for an indefinite amount of time & Jeez Louise, you really do need a little time off now & then........

I CANNOT STAND Vickie. She is a catty b*tch, not to mention hideously ugly. She treats her hubby like crap, he's cute & seems like a nice enough fella, he should ditch her immediately! I was LMAO when she got hit in the head w/that football........:D

Lynn seems OK, but she's too immature. Someone needs to tell her she's not 18 anymore & should not be sharing clothing w/her children. And her boobs are so obviously fake they look incredibly unattractive. Perhaps she has funhouse mirrors at home?

If Tamra cries over nothing one more time I think my head will explode. I've never seen anyone cry so much for no reason!

OMG I can't believe I just took all that time to rant over this ridiculous show! :eek::D:rolleyes:
 
Laura, ITA on everything you said. If nothing else, watching makes me feel better about my parenting skills;) I mean, really! Could there be more unintelligent kids out there?! I know it's highly edited and all, but COME ON!
 
Okay, I must admit...I cannot stand Gretchen...I tried to be open minded and give her a chance. But the whole Bass Lake thing and then shaking her butt in the face of a complete stranger signals NO CLASS to me! Yes, I know when you have a loved one in the hospital, it drains you. Been there before...and I can understand needing a break, but my breaks never consisted of that, maybe I was raised better, who knows?
Michael, Vicki's son needs to be shown the door...sent back to work construction with his Dad...his mom is delusional, they love the money and the ease of that life...they don't appreciate the fact she is addicted to work for one second...and his girlfriend, what does she do besides mooch off of Vicki and her ungrateful son?
Vicki, I am waiting for Don just to walk out! If you watch the past seasons she was not quite this anal...this season she has gone off the deep end!! Maybe it is too much Botox and Bleach?!
Jeana....I like that fact that she made Kara get a job...she works, but she knows when to leave the office.
Tamra...that is how she was last year, she may be two faced, but she will sit there in the interviews and tell you what she thinks of every lady....she even told Gretchen to her face last week...at least she owns the fact she is a "skinny bitch"
Her son Ryan makes me want to puke and thank God that my son has a wonderful father and role model in his life...Ryan is a punk...he and Michael should be best friends, they are both spoiled, ungrateful asses!
New wife (her name escapes me) oh yeah, Lynn...her implants are too big for her...I can't help it, she sits there in the interviews with these two big balloons extruding from her rail thin body! She isnt a good fit. And that dress...can we say you need to dress your age! I am glad that her little boyfriend told her she looked like a stripper, that was putting it kindly, I was thinking more like prostitute! I am 28 and would never dress like that!!! Geez...
Next week should be interesting, I mean maybe Tamra is setting her up, but she isn't holding her down and pouring the shots down her throat, Gretchen is a big girl and makes those decisions on her own! I mean Tamra was drunk at Havasu with Vicki, but she didn't go and hang all over Michael did she?
That is just my take...I have watched every season, and wow, they have CHANGED
 
Ok, I feel normal now! I also am addicted to this show. Lynn's boobs scream "look, I can afford fake boobs, and it doesn't matter that they look like bolt ons." Poor thing. Neither my daughter nor I would ever leave the house with most of the clothes they wear. For her to say that the dress her daughter was wearing was classy is quite indicative that having a little money doesn't buy class. Vickie I believe may have some sort of adult ADD although she is presented as being successful in her profession, but is immensely irritating with all her "woohooing" and she treats her DH like dirt. Tamara (Tamra?), is a grown woman with a tweens mentality. Petty and deceitful. Her son is another one riding the stepfather's gravy train. Jeana seems to be the most grounded. Gretchen seems sincere for the most part but there is something about her that still rings gold digger although she may have genuine feelings for the fellow who has cancer. She is stunningly beautiful but so is Jeana IMO. I guess everyone has a different opinion of what constitutes true affluence. To me they are just upper MIDDLE class. If they were truly wealthy, say like the DuPonts or Astors, they would not need to be on a show.

LOL ladies ! Remember a thread LauraMax started a while back 'cuz I had never even heard of the show.

DH was channel surfing last night and it was on. I asked him to stop for a minute and told him about the chat here. He said "what a bad show - they are all so stuck up !".

Thought it was kinda funny.

So now that I don't watch, I'll come here and see what y'all have to say.

Or maybe I'll turn into a secret watcher soon, ya never know. Sounds kinda funny and like it would be a good laugh and "get away from your own life" type of show. Did I nail that one?

You know, I find it incredibly annoying & I find myself wanting to smack at least one of them every 10 minutes or so, yet I can't stop watching! It's like a car accident or something!

OK so I watched last night & I just have to ask--what did you think of Gretchen's ring? I thought it was HIDEOUS! I love diamonds, but I'm not a big fan of pave, & most of the ring was pave. If you're gonna give me a 5 carat ring, I want it in a single stone dammit! :p

If she sleeps w/one of the wives' sons I think I'll blow chunks. :eek:
 
I agree Gretchen's ring was gaudy...made it look fake! I just wouldn't want to spend that much on a ring, and she already had one stone. I think her fiance was just trying to give her everything to make her happy...he seemed genuine, I said it before, she was his fifth wife I think, he knew what he was getting with her! It is so sad he didn't beat cancer.
 
I am addicted to this show as well. But I can only watch in peace during the daytime. Even my son Andrew when his eyes are not in sports will watch with me.
 
I have been addicted to this show since the first season. So funny how all of our opinions about the "characters" are so different. Personally, I do not find Gretchen to be gorgeous, at all. I think she has a cheap, trailer-park trash quality. She also seems to have the IQ of a shoelace. Jeana seems to be the most real; not that she doesn't have her own issues though. Vicki..... pure torture.
I can't wait for next week's episode. Hmmm, Gretchen gets trashy with Tamra's son, while her BF is in ICU, no doubt.

I agree - Barnes and Noble has always been my break. Partying while DF is in ICU - NOPE! Tamra was right on that.
 
I wonder if they were filming when Gretchen's Fiance Jeff Died in September. He has formed and sold many companies throughout his life. The last company he was with he had salary and compensation of around 1.7 mil. He was CEO.

I am curious as to if he left her anything.

Her dancing around with her ring and in front of his kids was a bit over the top. . .
