Jen- glad that yoru transition has gone so smoothly back to work. and that james is thriving!
Priscilla- wounds like you have a good routine. i hear you on the gas. I nursed/ pumped with my first son and tried changing my diet to no avail. one thing that did help a lot, is pediatric probiotics. they sell them at places like whole foods. one that i like that i get at whole foods in teh refrigerated section is Country Life - Maxi-Baby-Dophilis. you have to give it to them in a cool bottle, warm kills the culture. it really helps when they are gassy. i think that you are nursing. if you are using formula, try similac sensitive which is lactose free and is easy to digest. we use it. we also like good start by nestle a lot. it has a bit more sugar in it, so it lessens constipation. we use both all the time, just whatever is on hand. John is colicky too, and i know how exhausted you get when you can not soothe them. he is like clockwork and it is funny, the same time exactly every day. and it is the same times that he used to be active in the womb. go figure.
susan- i am hoping that your stomach bug is gone. wow. poor you! I cannot get over how much kara has changed and grown. you are so good about your eating clean. way to go girl!
mel- you are back soon, i think . sounds like myranda has given you a run for your money. i am so sorry. you must be tired dealing with so much fussing! Way to go on incredibly disciplined exercise and diet. you are awesome. I wish I was melting weight off like that!!!! Great work.
Allison- Do not fret on teh car seat. My first son slept in a vibrating chair till he was almost 6 months old. He would have slept there longer, but he got too big. whatever works is always my motto!
Things here are rough. JOhn has colic all night. From about 10-12 at night and then 2-5 in the morning. I am so tired. I am still exercising though, and that is helping. i have had some major blues this time, and know that part of it is hormones, and part of it is john's illness. it is tough. i feel like i am always sleeping with one eye open. checking his joints and muscles for hidden internal bleeds. making sure he does not bruise is hard. anyhow, we have a big challenge on monday. he goes for his immunizations, which means we will have to also go to get him infused with factor to stop the bleeding from teh shots, even though they will give them subcutaneous. it is so hard to watch them strap him down for the IV. We are formign a team to run the san francisco marathon this summer called Speeders for Bleeders to raise money for hemophilia. that helps. it gives us a positive motivation and gets us in shape too!
I have been runnign every morning and doign videos. I like some of the schock cardio, and some not so much. i really love the cadio core circuit and all teh Hiit. I am also doing insanity and really like the results. i am not a huge fan of drills, but the results speak for themselves. i am back in all my old clothes. i sweat so hard! My three year old does it with me, which is cute. he is giving up his afternoon nap, which i fund difficult, that was my alone time to work out or nap. he is patient nad has alone time, but it is not as long.
my husband is out of town for a few days and then we have four house guests this weekend. Oy, lots of cleaning and beds to change. and groceries to buy...
hope you are all doing great. sorry that I do nto have a chance to type much. i am overwhelmed with both kids nad being in teh dumps, but some days are sunnier than others and today is a happier day! Waves to all!
