holloween damage?

Cathlete
so i just wanted to know how everyone did with all the holloween candy last night and the official kickoff of the holiday season. i thought i was going to go crazy with candy but ended up just having 1 tootsie pop and didn't really want anything else. How'd you do?

Wow, you have great self-control. Me. . . not so much . Let's see I know I had some peanut m & m's, I had at least 3-4 peanut butter cups (my favorite) and some Dots, and milk duds, some chips, oh and a full size snickers bar. Ugh! Not all at once mind you, not that it makes much of a difference.

I was weak. However, I was really stressed because we were with my family and my sister has issues with mental health and she is not taking her meds anymore (not guessing about that, she actually told my husband last month). So I walk on eggshells around her b/c I seem to be a trigger for meltdowns and attacks.

Anyway, I plan on doing a super tough workout, like Body Max 2 to make up for it.

Who else has the guts to confess here?

Kristin

I ate a couple, but not too bad, considering. I really wanted some Butterfingers, and DS only got 3 of them. WTH???? There's only 2 left now :p For some reason, I was craving meat last night, big time. And since he didn't bring home any steak, it wasn't helping. He got a lot more cheap, just sugar candy than chocolate this year. Maybe people are trying to save money; fine by me. I don't eat the other stuff, its the chocolate that does me in, esp the PB cups and the Butterfingers. We did get a ton of trick or treaters though, we went thru more than 200 pieces of candy. I didn't have time to snack out of our bowl, they just kept coming!

I did great as well! I had a couple small treats out of my son's loot bag in the afternoon. We went to a party in the evening and I only had a couple bites of the appetizers, one drink and one very reasonable plate of food on which was a big pile of salad! When I woke up this morning and jumped on the scale it was the exact same weight as it had been y'day! :D

No Halloween candy damage here. The perk of living on a dead-end where kids don't come! (though there were three pieces of Halloween candy in the packet I picked up for the 5K I'm about to go off to do...I'll give those to my colleages.)

I had some Skittles, Milk Duds, a truffle, a mini Butterfinger and a couple Now and Laters.

BUT! I ran ten miles yesterday morning, did some house work then went trick or treating with my DD and her friends in the evening. My GWF says I burned 3757 calories yesterday, so besides polluting my body, I'm good!

Yeah, for me it wasn't the halloween candy. It was the PF Chang's I had for dinner. But dang, was it good. I only go there once a year because I just can't control myself. Boy, did my stomach hate it though :(

Way too much chocolate...lost count or rather stopped counting. But did make sure to give it ALL away. I need that yuk feeling every now & then i guess!?!

I didn't have any candy either. I was at my parent's last night. There was candy but no kids. My mom had a couple of pieces and then gave me the rest of the bag to bring to work.

And here I was all set to sport my Michael Jackson costume and race walk to Kathryn's house for some Halloween chia gel and nutritional yeast. ;)

LOL!
The first year I was here, I went all out: I'd just moved into the house and removed all of the sod from the front yard (I was having good planting soil brought in to make various gardens to replace the lawn) so had a perfect "graveyard" surface to put some fake tombstones on.

I also had a motion-activated head (or skeleton?) that had flashing eyes and said creepy things, that I put near my walkway.

On my front porch, I set up some kind of stuffed monster in a chair, with scary music playing, then I wrote messages on the sidewalk from the corner up to my house like "Come this way, if you dare!"

I was also dressed up as a witch, and had a motion activated raven by the door.

Nobody showed up except for my neighbor (a 50+-year-old woman) and a good friend (a 30+-year-old woman).:(

That was the end of my Halloween spirit. (And seeing how many pumpkins are smashed around town this morning, I think the Halloween spirit has become just a night of drunken foolishness and vandalism for a lot of people. Bah humbug!).
